BIBLE- Wilderness Cry- Hilary L Hunt MD

BIBLE: The most sold book(s) in the universe, in my opinion, represents the biggest hoax ever perpetrated on the human race. I can hear the horror shrieks now— how can you possibly say that? Very simply, anyone who takes even a cursory look at our human history will readily recognize that religion has been, and still is, the single cause of all strife in our existence. Religion, of course, is a cultist practice based on some false belief(s). So, where is the falsity in the bible. The number one problem with the bible is the depiction of our Creator and Supreme Being as some grizzled old man, hostile and irate, gloriously robed and crowned, sitting on a magnificent throne. He is capable of turning on you in a flash, and condemning you to hell forever on a whelm. Seemingly, He is never happy, because His happiness comes from our perfection. Since it is impossible for any human to be perfect, God is in a constant state of wrath: simultaneously, He has six to eight billion offenders on His hand continuously. As I personally matured both physically and educationally, my awareness of God’s dilemma and ours deepened. I could readily see the paradox with both we and God being in the “hot box” continuously. Gradually it occurred that there must be a problem with the original construct. As I studied and reasoned, it became ever so clear to me that the ancient biblical description of God as imagined by the Hebrews was totally false and nonsensical. Understandably, with no scientific knowledge of or about the universe, they could only imagine what an undeveloped intellect would allow; that being a child-like imagination of God. They ascribed all their failures and difficulties to a vengeful God reacting to their transgressions, and, simultaneously, any good events in their lives were justified by their selfish egos that some had “pleased” God more-so than others. So the Old Testament evolved. Then along comes Jesus—so many, many conflicting stories about His life, activities, and words have been written, rewritten and changed through the centuries since His life here on earth. Renowned professor of Bible at UNC, Bart Ehrman, proclaims that all versions of the New testament are contaminated, but the most contaminated of all is the King James Version which is used by most Protestant churches and preachers. It occurred to me that the basic problem with all religions of any kind was the minuscule ideation ascribe to our Creator. Furthermore, everyone from time immortal has talked about God, but not a single individual has ever defined Its essence. Nowhere in the bible is there an attempt. In the 1300’s, Meister Eckhart, A Dominican Friar, theologian, and philosopher, seemingly, spent his entire adult life wrestling with such a definition. However, because of his total lack of science, he lacked the sufficient background. To his credit, he recognized the terrible mistake made by religion in portraying God as it did.  Alikened to Galileo, he was to be brought before the Inquisition, but he died before he could be shamed. Thankfully, there is no Inquisition, as such, meaning burning at the stake is illegal nowadays. With that in mind, I became more determined than ever to “discover” the Essence Of Our Supreme Being (God, Yahweh, Allah, Brahma, Buddha, etc). That I did in no uncertain nor irrefutable terms. I defined our Creator thus:       GOD (Etc.) IS A PERFECT RATIONAL BEING. -PERFECT, OF COURSE, MEANS IT CANNOT BE CHANGED— IT CANT BE HURT, HELPED, PLEASED, DISPLEASED, ETC. With that understanding, we can readily see that God is “Perfect Love” which means It accepts everything in ITS domain without condition. That concept completely negates any concept of Hell, Purgatory and the likes. It also negates any concept of Heaven being a Place. It readily demands a concept of Heaven as a “state of being, one with God”. So, I have utmost problems with the bible and with religions in general. My Concept of the essence of God demands that the image (Will-Holy Spirit) of God is imprinted on every tiniest particle of energy (quantum) which make up everything in existence. As such, everything in existence is united in that Spirit. Therefore, I have repeatedly called for recognition and acceptance of “The World-Wide Communion Of Spirituality” among all peoples.
