THE MYTH OF ‘FREE WILL’– HILARY L HUNT MD

Have you ever wondered where the idea of ‘free will’ came from? I, like you were brainwashed into thinking there is such an ‘entity’, and for that reason didn’t question it until after years of study and research, I was able to do something never before done — define the essence of God — “God is a Perfect Rational being”. That startling definition of God’s essence ‘blew out of the water’ everything I had ever been taught about God and religion, including the erroneous concept of ‘free will’. In fact, I was forced to reconsider everything I had ever been taught about God, the Bible, religions in general, and specifically, Roman Catholicism. I discovered that Moses wrote the first five books of the Old Testament. So, we are forced to attribute the fairytale stories of creation, Adam and Eve, the Garden of Eden, and everything through the Book of Deuteronomy to his imagination and his ever-present overlording of the Israelites for purpose of control.

The most compelling of Moses’ control methods was his ability to convince the Israelites that he, and only he, could converse directly with God. God gave him the Ten Commandments which, of course, being human, they violated perpetually, and thereby generated a stockpile of God’s wrath — the framework and cornerstone of ‘sacrificial religion’ for appeasement of a vengeful God were laid. That religion would, in fact, eventually become the stimulus which incited the heroism of Jesus of Nazareth to attempt liberation of his brethren from that oppression by instructing them that God is ‘All Love’ and needs no appeasement. The moneygrubbing, power mongering Jewish hierarchy were not about to have their playhouse disrupted — they hung Jesus on a tree for that treason.

Three hundred years later, those who formulated the Holy Roman Catholic Church at the behest of Roman Emperor Constantine totally ignored Jesus’ teaching of an ‘all-loving’ God, but using the fame of his name created a Church patterned exactly after the sacrificial religion of the Jews and set themselves up in position of power and total control— the exact thing which Jesus despised and willingly died for.

So, with that backdrop, we see a Church that put God in Heaven, sitting on a throne with Jesus sitting at his side, overlording his kingdom from which he was totally separated. As time marched on and the Christian theology was gradually being developed, the great Dominican Friar, Thomas Aquinas formulated a philosophy which explained everything the Church needed for understanding. Aquinas recognized a rational person has an intellect and a will. His interpretation of their functions was designed to satisfy the Churches concept of how sin comes about. He reasoned that even though the intellect may think one thing the will was free to choose as it liked at its own discretion —that was his fatal mistake which has shackled the world with erroneous understanding ever since. I have explained this many times before but let’s do it again.

A very simple test will dispel forever the concept of ‘free will’ for you. Let’s use the example of a red-hot stove eye. We must assume two things — we have been burned before and know that it is very painful and to be avoided, and we must assume we are rational (not crazy — irrational). Now, it is our intellect which ‘knows these things’, not the will. So, if I tell you to lay your hand on that red-hot eye, you wouldn’t dare —that is your common-sense rational intellect which tells you ‘That would be a terrible choice and to be avoided’, not your will. The will must always do what the intellect decides is the better of two choices. In this case, quite obviously, the better choice is keeping your hand away.

Likewise, if you’re standing on the edge of a cliff, you have two choices, jump off or stay put. If you are rational, your intellect tells you to stay put and your will must obey. The will is simply the ‘executive’ arm of the intellect. Synonyms for ‘will’ are choose, love, accept. They represent the ‘driving force of the intellect. They are the Holy Spirit or Will of God in the Trinity — they are the perpetual willing, loving, choosing, accepting force between the Perfect Intellects of God the father and God the Son.

The truth of the matter is there is no such thing as’ free intellect’. Yes, we are free to think and analyze but whatever final choice we make must be what our intellect considers to be the better of the final two possible choices. That does not mean nor imply that another rational human might not make a different choice based on previous experiences — that is what makes each of us distinct individuals with no possibility of any two being alike. That is the foundation of Jesus’ teaching of love — Jesus readily saw that peace could never be achieved without love of each other. His teaching has been totally ignored and world strife is ever-present.

Thomas Aquinas was simply attempting to satisfy Catholic Church philosophy. He knew absolutely no science of any kind. That ignorance allowed him to proclaim male masturbation to be the most grievous sin that could be commit because all the babies were in the male semen and were being spilled to their deaths. Aquinas’ attitude is understandable because from Moses’ time till Thomas Aquinas, three thousand plus years, the Jewish and Western world existed in a strict ‘Patristic’ society. Women were little more than glorified slaves. So, there was no way that a woman could have been thought of more than just a simple ‘brood sow incubator’. The almighty male injected the babies into her, and she simply incubated them till birth — such was the ignorance that prevailed from Moses time until Vatican 2 Council.

I still hear the term ‘free will’ occasionally and it makes me cringe because I know that person lacks a proper understanding of rationality. We would be much better off if we replaced the term ‘will’ with ‘love’. We would better understand that we are free to love what our intellect tells us is good (better), and we are free to reject what our intellect tells us which is least desirable.

Most of you reading this already know from my previous discourses and from reading my books Wilderness cry and Provocative Catholic that I have addressed this concept before, but for the few who have not, I feel compelled to visit it again — the cornerstone of ignorance found in every religion with which I am familiar.

If each of us did not have a rational intellect with which to discern truth, we would be like identical robots, all with identical programming. However, since our individual intellects have been exposed to dramatically different stimuli, each has been formulated into dramatically different individuals which allows (causes) us to make decidedly different judgements about seemingly identical information. Just consider an election of any public official. The majority will always vote for the winner but for a multitude of different reasons — each person’s intellect dictates its choice of winner based on a variety of different considerations.

Jesus was brilliant. He could clearly see the blatant scamming of his brethren that was going on by the Jewish hierarchy and their sacrificial religion. He became so incensed that his ire finally drove him to make an onslaught onto the temple — while thrashing the moneychangers with a whip and overturning their tables, he called them a brood of vipers and a den of thieves and demanded them to leave his Father’s house. Jesus was so determined to liberate his countrymen from the guilt driven sacrificial religion of the Jews and supplant it with a no-religion understanding of God’s Perfect Love that his intellectual common sense became overwhelmed by momentary irrational anger which drove him to that final fatal act — it seems apparent that he knew it was going to happen anyway.

My firm belief and understanding are that at his last supper, knowing full-well that he had failed to completely indoctrinate his illiterate apostles to his way of thinking, he made one final attempt at gaining their understanding. He explained to them once again that he, they, and all of God’s creation were of one substance — God is in all, and all is in God— God is All Love and cannot possibly reject himself.

Jesus’ final instruction and advice went totally unheeded by those who formulated the Holy Roman Catholic Church some three hundred years later. As a direct slap in the face, they ignored Jesus’ teaching of an All-loving God and formed another sacrificial church of appeasement, the likes of which Jesus despised. They used their collective intellects to ‘spit in Jesus’ face’ all for their own personal power, control, and money (empire building).

—eternal strife prevails to this day and always will until The Worldwide Communion of Spirituality, which I called for several years ago, is heeded. That means that each of us must understand and accept that we, and every gravid object in this Perfect Universe, are made of identical Perfect Particles of Energy which collectively represent God. Each of us shares a commonality with the Perfect Will of God, The Holy Spirit, which is imbedded in each particle and keeps it Perfect. That understanding stems from the knowledge that there is a Perfect Truth System in this universe outside of which there is no truth, and that truth is exhibited by those Perfect Particles of Energy. That knowledge and understanding mandated me to define God as A Perfect Rational Being.

AS an addendum, a few years back, I came to the sudden realization that I had many, many questions but absolutely no one alive to answer them. That realization mandated me to write a brief history of my life in Fancy Farm, Kentucky. I believe you will find it both informative and humorous.

PHILOSOPHY- WITHOUT/WITH SCIENCE — HILARY L HUNT MD

Before we can begin a discussion of such crucial issues as philosophy and science, we must have an essential definition of those terms. Philosophy may be defined as a basic set of fundamental understandings derived from known or presumed truths (facts). Science may be defined as knowledge(truths) derived from known and/or provable facts.

We begin by considering that recorded human history began about four thousand years BC, coupled with the fact that the first known truth (science) occurred in 1498 AD. That incident involved Vasco da Gama sailing to India and back proving the earth to be round instead of flat. The ‘flat earth’ had been the ‘accepted truth’ upon which much erroneous philosophy had been based — despite that known, proven fact, the Pope and the Inquisition continued for three years to burn people to death for disclaiming the earth to be flat.

The next major ‘scientific’ discovery occurred one hundred eleven years later when Galileo discovered the sun to be the center of our universe (solar system) and not the earth which was a mandated belief to the point of being burned at the stake for non-believers. He, himself, was forced to recant his findings to escape incineration — as punishment, he spent the last nine years of his life under house arrest. During those years, he laid the groundwork for the scientific discovery for the rate of acceleration of a falling object, which was later developed and refined by Sir Isaac Newton.

Those two proofs served to lay the foundation for continued scientific investigation which accelerated at a torrid pace from that time on. Astronomy soon replaced the pseudoscience of astrology. Astronomers began to calculate distances to celestial objects — as both telescopes and curiosity improved, the science of astronomy became real. However, despite that fact, the Pope is said to have an astute astrologer at his side before making any serious decision up until the 1800’s. All religion was deeply rooted in pseudo-philosophy which was based on ignorance, mythology, astrology, imagination, witchcraft, and hearsay. Likewise, all concepts of God proposed by religion were based on those same superstitions.

That proposition created a situation whereby ‘everyone talked about God, but no one could define him’ — there were/still are as many gods as there are now, or ever have been, people on this earth.

Since its inception, science has accelerated at a feverish pitch. We know so much more now — we’ve put a man on the moon— sadly, we’ve created a tool capable of obliterating every living thing on this earth.

A mythological god exists in the minds of everyone who believes in God. Consequently, everyone’s philosophy about God and his environs (religion, eternity, heaven, hell, etc, and all such like considerations) is pure nonsense — all is based on ‘false premises’— no one can define his god.

On the other hand, science attempts to be more exact and in most instances is — biological sciences seem to be more slowly developed and understood than the other physical sciences. That is because the massive chemical structures, reactions, and interactions, of biological compounds and systems are more difficult to completely ascertain, define, and repeat — just because we are slow to understand doesn’t make them invalid — it just means we are slower in understanding that aspect of God’s perfection.

Every action, thought, reaction, and interaction has consequences. So, what are the consequences to humanity of being impaled with a philosophy which is based on mythology, astrology, etc.? From my perspective, the principal consequences of record which have pervaded human history from day one are disorder and discord. Humans have been fighting each other throughout the ages. Almost from day one, there have been alliances for mutual protection from enemies. However, as soon as the danger passes, alliances frequently loosen and even some break ranks and join others. Invariably, infighting of minor degree developed in the alliance— some state, nation, or ruler fails to do its part.

Given what I just said to be remotely true — one glance at today’s world will justify my statements — why do you suppose that is? I believe there are two basic causes. The first involves the fact that we are animals and, just like all animals, we tend by nature to be domineering and controlling. Long ago, some groups recognized the need for civility — gradually, the entire earth became civilized by necessity. However, greed did not disappear. The second, and I believe most important cause for disorder and discord, is lack of like-mindedness. And, what prompted that void? I will readily suggest to you, it is because no two persons have an identical understanding or picture of their God — everyone talks about God, but no one knows him— no one can define his essence. Therein lies the basic difficulty the world has encountered.

Why then can we not define the essence of our God? I would readily suggest there are two causes. Number one, all our current philosophy about God comes to us through the Bible which, itself, is based on mythology, astrology, ignorance, imagination and hearsay. Number two, and more importantly, concepts of God have never included Science. Without scientific understanding, all concepts of God are invalid.

I was fortunate to have a picture of God and the Trinity painted for me in 1958 by a young Jesuit retreat-master shortly before I graduated from Medical School at Saint Louis University. He told me to think of God as having a Perfect Intellect — that Perfect Intellect, having nothing else to reflect upon, looks inward and sees a perfect reflection of itself. Being in the supernatural, that reflection is a living being just as its generator — it is the Son, the second person of the Trinity. Those two Perfect Intellects, viewing each other perpetually, have no choice but to love, choose, will, accept each other — the Holy Spirit or Will Of God. Instantly, I saw the picture, but I couldn’t explain it to myself or others because I couldn’t relate to the Perfect Intellect —what was it— I did not know the scientific basis for it — I still could not define the essence of God.

Fortunately for me, and I hope and trust for you, after sixty-five years of searching, I found the scientific explanation for the philosophy of my God’s essence — Quantum Mechanics (particle physics). There I learned that there is a Perfect Rationality which pervades this universe — every truth in this universe is found in that Rationality —it constitutes a Perfect Truth System outside of which there is no truth. Cumulatively, all those particles, (quanta) which are perfect in form and function, are indivisible, are unmarkable, are unchangeable, and cannot be created nor destroyed by man, exist in eternity, but they form the substrate for everything in our changing, temporal universe— they are God.

Finally, I was able to do something never before done — I was not only able but also mandated to define my God’s essence— God is A Perfect Rational Being. That definition is all inclusive and it is irrefutable.

The ramifications of that understanding are staggering. They completely obliterate and annihilate every thought we ever had about any god or religion — all are invalid — we must now start anew. We must change our thinking and our visualizations completely.

In summary, it is easy to see that philosophy which is based on mythology, astrology, imagination, and the likes has no relationship to science (truth) and furthermore, is totally irrational, bearing no relationship to reality. Therefore, the Bible, from which all concepts of God and all ensuing Christian religion was/is based, is totally irrational and is the epitome of pseudo philosophy. However, that is exactly what the world has been shackled with for near six thousand years. Contrarily, philosophy which is based on known, provable facts, science, is completely rational and trustworthy but has been completely ignored by so-called Christian religions. The reason for that is obvious — acknowledgement of scientific facts would instantly invalidate them and their ’cause’ — power, control, and money — they have no inclination to destroy their power base.

It should be noted once again that no one can prove or disprove the existence of a Supreme Being. However, knowing the perfect composition and perfect rational function which exists in our universe, as described by Quantum Mechanics (particle physics), makes it more rational than not for me to accept the concept of ’A Perfect Rational Being’ who not only imagined and created this magnificent, tumultuous, perfectly functioning universe but also who manages it and keeps it perfect — for want of a better term, I call it God.

Consequently, the good news is this — all can now become like-minded. We all can have the same identical understanding of who God is — finally, our billions of mythical gods can be abolished forever. We can have peace.

It will take a staggering effort on everyone’s part to make that conversion come about — grass root understanding is very important. However, it will never happen until the purveyors of religion accept this new scientific doctrine and preach it worldwide. The Stronghold of power and control with resultant extraction of money must be broken — a monumental undertaking to say the least. Please don’t hold your breath — maybe someday before we self-destruct.

While we wait, once again, I call for the acceptance of The Worldwide Communion Of Spirituality which demands each of us to understand and accept that the Spirit of God, The Holy Spirit, The Will of God is branded onto every perfect particle of energy which constitutes ever gravid object in existence in this universe. That, my friends, is like-mindedness.

DERELICT—In common usage, this word typically refers to a vagabond-type person. Dereliction of duty typically refers to failure to shoulder one’s obligations and/or responsibilities. I think yours truly may fit into the latter category as of late, because, as a regular philosophical blogger, my followers were likely expecting to hear from me before now. However, as the old saying goes, ‘I’ve had other fish to fry’.

Since late January of this year, weather permitting, every spare moment of mine has been spent in my gardens, clearing, fencing, tilling, planting, feeding, watering and finally harvesting. All of the above effort has been directed at fresh vegetable production for our local Community Kitchen which feeds free meals to hundreds of indigents daily. With the dutiful help of my dear wife Ginny and a friend, Carol Cain, we recently finished the harvest of roughly 1000 pounds of fresh cabbage.

With all other crops and projects under reasonable control, I decided to ‘rationalize’ my way onto the golf course this past week. With a worn out back and two arthritic hips, walking any distance is impossible. So if we can’t drive our golf cars on the fairways, I have to refrain from playing golf. It finally quit raining two weeks ago which allowed car traffic on fairways, so I took advantage of that. Now back to the business at hand.

During the last several weeks we have witnessed episode after episode of apparent dereliction of duty which were, again, rationalized as justification for episode after episode of looting and violence of all sorts.

So what are the causes of such derelictions. If one can believe any so-called news casts at all, it seems much of it was done by ‘hired guns’ for both political and social reasons. The leftists would use any excuse to blame President Trump for any and every untoward event of any kind in an attempt to sway public opinion against him. Then there are the genuine ‘lawless’ who seemingly want to take over chunks of entire cities so they can ‘have their way’ undeterred.

People who wished to protest peacefully had no chance—their voices and activities were drowned out completely. Thankfully, in our smaller cities and towns, civility pertained.

I am convinced that the breakdown of family life among black Americans is the prime culprit. Where there is no father-figure disciplinarian and role model, what can one expect? On the other hand, when black Americans were emancipated, what choice did they have but to migrate to the cities—and once there, what chance did they have?—slim and none. They were still enslaved in an economic system completely untenable—they had no money, they owned no land, they were forced to live in slum conditions. More importantly, they were neither positioned nor conditioned to obtain the one vital thing they needed for prosperity—-education. So the inevitable happens—unwanted pregnancies with no father figure, and a mother with no visible means for support of her child(ren)—a welfare state was created.

I grew up a total pauper. But I had two very distinct advantages that the average black child in the ghettoes and slums cannot possibly have— we owned a little 30 acre farm from which we produce literally everything we ate, and we had extremely dedicated, hard-working parents who taught us hard work, determination and perseverance. With that paradigm as a model, success was possible and it did, in fact, come to fruition—would that every black child had that same opportunity.

Oh there have been, and are now, thousands of successful, honorable black Americans—-they were the fortunate ones. I have no statistics to back my statement, but I’ll bet most came from stable homes, or at least had trusted guardians and advisors.

I know many very successful black people in West Kentucky. Our educational system here encourages all to strive for excellence. Yet there are many, many who seemingly can’t help themselves. Much needs to be done yet.

This is Father’s Day. Isn’t it a crime that so many black and white children are fatherless—they obviously had a sire—a father?—no.

But who is the biggest culprit in this charade? Without any doubt in my mind, it is so-called Christian Churches. I recall vividly about fifteen years ago, when I was formulating ideas for my first book, Wilderness Cry, my wife and I were having dinner with three other couples one night when I made that indictment of the ‘silent Churches’ regarding race. All but one of my friends bolted in ‘righteous indignation’ at the mere suggestion. I had just noted that, in general, not a single word was ever heard coming from any pulpit regarding slavery, or its aftermath, ‘implied slavery’. I was well aware by then that the almighty dollar was what concerned churches the most. Obviously, if churches were to point out the plight of blacks, then they were most obviously mandated to do something about it—that means spend their ‘almighty dollars’.

Furthermore, the mere mention of such an undertaking would alienate many parishioners, further reducing the coffers. Oh, if pressed, they might pay ‘lip service’—nothing more.

I believe without doubt, if there is lingering ‘systemic racism’, it comes straight from the ‘coward’ pulpits.

I recently watched a video interview of Cassius Clay shortly after he had won the Olympic Gold medal in boxing in 1960. He related how proud he had been to stand on that box, have that medal put around his neck, and listen to the playing of our National Anthe. He was so excited to get back to his home town of Louisville, KY, and celebrate with his friends and family. They went to a nice restaurant, and promptly were told that ‘blacks would not be served there’. He had been raised a Christian, but at that very moment, he determined that the Jesus he had been taught about was no friend of his—Allah became his God—Mohammed Ali became his name.

Where were the Christian Churches then—where are they now—where were they 400 years ago? You got it—blind, deaf, mutes.

Where do you suppose all that blindness comes from? Is not the Old testament rife with stories of slavery. Were not both Ishmael and Esau the products of slave girl impregnation by their Jewish owners? Were not the Jews enslaved for forty years by the Egyptians? I don’t recall Jesus addressing the slave situation in the Bible we have. I may sound cynical, but I’ll bet he did—we’ll never know—how many ‘versions’ of the Bible have there been?—you don’t suppose Jesus’ possible words about slavery could have been a ‘convenient’ omission, do you? Knowing Jesus the way I do, my suspicion is very strong.. As best I can tell, all those monstrous church buildings in Europe and elsewhere were built with ‘slave labor’. God must ‘love slaves’ because they built all those beautiful churches to ‘please him’—guess whom they really pleased—I’ll give you three guesses—Popes, Cardinals, Bishops.

PICTURE OF GOD–Do you know what God looks like? Have you ever seen pictures of God? If someone ask you to draw a picture of God for him/her, would you be able to do so? If you were to draw a picture either on paper or in your mind, where did that picture come from? How did you come to know what God looks like?

At first glance, you may consider all of these questions to be ‘simpleminded’ in nature. However, I suspect that, if you were to be truly introspective and honest with yourself, you’d have to admit that any and all images of God that you may have were imprinted on your mind by pictures of God presented to you as ‘real’ during your earliest Christian indoctrination period—-I know mine are/were. Consequently, it is literally impossible to think ‘God’ without conjuring up one of those images.

Now lets examine the legitimacy of such images. In my experience, God is frequently pictured as a grizzled old man floating in semi-bust form in the clouds. Another usual presentation is that same grizzled old man in gala attire wearing a stunning crown sitting in the clouds on a brilliantly adorned throne with Jesus, in diminutive form, sitting by his right side. These are the two that stand out in my imagery. Logic demands that we, as intelligent beings, must ask ourselves the obvious question—who concocted those ideas and presented them to as a real, and for what purpose?

The Old Testament tells us that the Jews recognized God—they could talk to him and even bargain with him. In addition, they carried him around on their shoulders in The Arc Of The Covenant. I don’t recall the Old Testament describing what God looks like. As a matter of fact, I don’t remember any verbal description of God’s appearance in the New Testament or any later Christian writings—maybe there were some I missed. So, how did we become indoctrinated with those images of God?

My common sense tells me the following: the Jews imagined a God patterned exactly after their own demeanor, only much more knowing and powerful—after all, he did create the entire universe. He could be loving, helpful, pleased and forgiving. Just like them, he could be displeased, hurt, angry, hateful and vengeful. So why not imagine him as a human-like person—he had all the ‘human-like’ characteristics.

It seems to me that both that identical image and understanding of God has been perpetuated by the ‘Christian’ Church, and likely for a definite reason—they were determined to have a humanistic relationship with God—their God could not possibly be elusive or intangible—he had to be ‘real’ in their minds. That mandate eventually became very ‘profitable’. As time went on, many paintings depicting Jesus, Mary, Joseph and many saints came to be—God had to be depicted somehow. So he was, and is, and is, and is……….

Jesus never described his Father in any way except eternal and loving. Nowhere, that I am aware of did Jesus describe God in ‘humanistic terms. Throughout the ages, great philosophers and theologians alike, recognizing the miniscule depiction of God in the Bible, determined that a ‘true’ understanding of God must be ascertained. Each, in turn, determined that the ‘essence’ of God must be defined before we could know the real God. Each made a desperate effort at defining God’s essence—some came close—all systematically failed.

Why do you suppose the all failed. I think two main reasons—number one, they couldn’t abolish that image of a human-like God, and number two, they had absolutely no scientific understanding of anything in God’s creation. Had any one of them known the scientific facts of our existence, a true definition of God’s essence would very likely have been forthcoming.

The only ‘meaningful’ record we have of Jesus’ teachings about God is the Bible, and as a matter of absolute fact, we will never know exactly what Jesus said and did—so distorted and corrupted is the Bible. The earliest copy of the original writings is a copy of a copy, of a copy made 200 or more years after the original. Since that time, dozens of different versions of the bible have appeared, each with a different twist. Why do you suppose that is?

I believe, without doubt, there are several reasons. The original Christian (Catholic) church which emerged from the first Nicene council was fashioned by people who put ‘power’ over love. They lorded over their constituents in the most virulent and terrifying way. In the beginning, of course, they had the absolute protection of the Roman Army—their wish was the Roman Army’s command. After the fall of the Roman Empire, that protection ceased. The debauchery and simultaneous abuse by the hierarchy following Rome’s fall is well documented.

Based on this ‘humanistic’ image of God, well meaning mystics and ascetics alike began rationalizing the meaning of Jesus’ words. It has been shown by Prof. Bart Ehrman, that as Jerome translated the Bible into Latin, because of his extreme ascetism, he deliberately eliminated or change the meaning of almost every reference to anything good about women—after all, women were the ‘root of all evil’—women were evil. With the advent of the Protestant Reformation, Bibles began ‘sprouting up’ everywhere. Each ‘version’ was another man’s attempt to place Jesus’ words into a picture of his own God.

The ultimate result from all that confusing imagery is a Christian world fragmented into 33,000 or more denominations and sects, and each professing a God based on their own individual ‘imaginations’—not a single one of them knows the basic nature of God—Gods essence.

God cannot possibly be depicted rationally with a paint brush—God is supernatural and eternal. God has no body—God has no physical appearance. Teaching little children a depiction of God in humanistic terms is ‘criminal’ in my opinion, because it leaves an indelible false image about the most important consideration of their lives. Little children soon learn that Santa is a myth. His image will harmlessly persist in their minds forever. On the other hand, God is no myth—-he should not be presented to little children with a mythical image.

Neither I, nor anyone else can ‘paint you a picture’ of God—the invisible cannot be painted.

I can, however, and already have, irrefutably, defined for you God’s Essence— God is a Perfect Rational Being. That Perfect Rationality translates into ‘Perfect Love’. Therefore, God cannot possibly have any human characteristics—he cannot be hurt—he cannot hate—he cannot be vengeful. He can only ‘know all’ with his perfect intellect and ‘love that all’ (will, accept, choose) with his Perfect Will. Therefore Hell, Purgatory, Limbo, Higher Places in Heaven, etc. are all myths dreamed up (imagined) by various people trying to know and understand God from a humanistic standpoint—and likely for purposes of maintaining power and control which translates into owning your pocket book.

All of that imagination has engendered the biggest money-making racket the world has ever known under the guise of keeping your soul out of Hell—that racket is known as Religion.

RATIONAL vs. RATIONALIZATION-Hilary L Hunt MD

RATIONAL vs. RATIONALIZATION- A strange and unusual topic eh? Maybe so, but I suspect most people get caught in the trap of either not understanding the difference , or not honoring that difference. Rational refers to objective truth whereas rationalization refers to using objective truth in an illegitimate or unrelated context in order to justify a position of some kind, either attitude or action.

In his famous Gettysburg address, Abraham Lincoln is quoted as saying, “We hold these Truths to be self evident, that all Men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness”. The objective truths of which he spoke were to be found in the Declaration of Independence. Reasoning and reasonable men, after observing and enduring centuries of oppression by tyrannical governments of one kind or another, were able to glean those basic truths. Furthermore, they had the stalwart courage to express and promote those basic truths with their lives, if necessary.

So, rational or rationality refers to the intellectual ability to discern truth, and the willful mandate to accept, choose, love that truth.

One might ask how it is possible to know the truth. Truth is established in various ways and by using various techniques. In the world of science, truth is established by the ‘scientific process’—postulation, experimentation, observation. If the same identical result is obtained with each identical experiment, then that result becomes a scientific truth (fact-law). A similar formula may be applied in the field of philosophy—however it may be a bit more ‘tricky’ and always involves subjectivity. As in Lincoln’s proclamation, ‘We hold these truths to be self evident’ , meaning, of course, that after centuries of observation and experimentation with human beings lives, the basic truth of human dignity became obvious.

Another form of ‘truth establishment’ is Logic, which deals with premises leading to a conclusion. In its simplest form one, might use the following example: Premise 1—all houses are white Premise 2—that building is a house Conclusion—that building is white. Nothing more, nor less can be added to that proposal because no other factual information is available, However, in the ‘real world of speculation and rationalization, the average ‘Jack or Jill’ may be caught expounding endlessly about the additional qualities of that structure. So, in such a case, one rationalization leads to a pseudo-truth which may be expounded upon and expanded to the point that, in very short order, that basic house could not be recognized using verbal communication.

Here we are, at this very moment, embroiled in a national revolt because the ‘truth’ of Lincoln’s observation has been ignored—likely by rationalizing individuals. At the same time, decent, respectable, citizens are attempting to stage ‘peaceful objection’ to such rationalized activity. Their voices, however, have been drowned out for the most part by ‘insurgents’ who have a different agenda—that seems to be overthrow of our government which was founded on a precious concept of equality of all and prospects of happiness for all. Their subversive agenda no doubt sprang from hatred and deceit and is justified in their minds by the ‘rationalization process’.

Now, lets turn to our Creator which President Lincoln recognized. Just who is that Creator? How do we know that there is such an entity and if there is, what is it like?

Simple observation of world history will demonstrate rather clearly that our Creator has been denoted with at least a thousand different titles, understandings, qualities, abilities, attitudes, demeanors, locations and intentions. How is that possible when literally each person speaks rather authoritatively about ‘his/her Creator’? The answer to that question lies in a very simple framework called ‘Rationalization’.

Throughout the eons, each king, society and person, aided by the process of rationalization, has created an ‘image’ of their Creator. Their god/ being, of course, was fashioned nearly always for self-serving purposes. In more ‘modern times (6,000 years), those Gods served a wonderful purpose—-to keep the troops in line.

Of course, most of those ‘gods’ were fashioned with human qualities—selfishness, ire, revenge, mercy—a little bit of occasional love—but don’t get too snuggly—you’ll get burned.

Quite obviously, that god had to be appeased, and, usually, with sacrifice—RELIGION WAS BORN.

That form of rationalization possibly began with concepts of god/s and , of course has pervaded the human ‘thought process’ ever since—rather dramatically negatively, I might add. Just look at our streets this very minute.

How did all this confusion about God come about? Remarkably, everyone, including ‘Honest Abe’, talked/talks about god, but not a single one knows God—none were able to define the essence of their god.

With God’s help, I did.

Without an essential definition, absolutely nothing nor any one, especially God, has any meaning at all.

My definition: God is a Perfect Rational Being. That Perfect Rationality means that with its Perfect Intellect, it perceived ‘all’, and with its Perfect Will, it loves (accepts, chooses, wills ) ‘all’. Furthermore and most importantly, there is not the slightest possibility of ‘any rationalization’ coming from that Perfect Intellect’.

AFFLICTED-Hilary L Hunt MD

AFFLICTED: as a young child and young adult, it was rather commonplace to hear someone being spoken of as ‘a poor afflicted child or person’. I learned rather quickly the implication of that word ‘afflicted’. It meant that the person being spoken of generally had experienced the misfortune of being befallen with a painful and/or crippling disease or disorder.

In those days prenatal care had not yet reached the summit of excellence it enjoys today. Consequently, many babies were born with crippling birth defects. In addition, many had the extreme misfortune of experiencing a brain injury during the birthing event. As a result many children experienced various forms of cerebral palsy, most of which caused varying degrees of structural and/or developmental deformities. In addition, essentially all experienced difficulties in ambulatory mobility as well as dexterity of upper extremity function.

Many were so afflicted that ambulation was never a possibility—confinement to a wheel chair or bed was mandatory. In addition, IQ was often compromised.

There were/are many other hereditary and or congenital deformities which inflicted extreme disability on children—some were never correctable even by the most expert medical attention.

One of the most dreaded and dreadful affliction was poliomyelitis. That viral infection of the spinal chord inflicted varying degrees of permanent disability. The degree and the level of involvement of the spinal cord determined the degree of residual deformity and disability. Usually, the higher up the chord, the greater the residual involvement and deformity.bulbar polio (involvement of brain stem) usual meant total body involvement from neck down—death was not an unusual outcome.

When I entered the Campbell Clinic in Memphis to begin my orthopedic specialty training in 1962, fully fifty percent of our patient load was for the treatment of residual deformities from cerebral palsy, birth defects , and polio. Even though polio vaccine became available in 1957, the world was full of afflicted individuals who were severely incapacitated. We spent most of out time and energy doing surgical procedures designed to make them ambulatory and self-sufficient.

The Campbell Clinic managed two major hospitals for the afflicted. The Hospital For Crippled Children was funded by the Firestone Corporation. The Hospital For Crippled Adults was funded by the Rotary Clubs of West KY, West TN, North MS, and East AR.

No one could explain the startling pang of horror I experienced at the sight of a beautiful sixteen year old girl who came walking into my clinic wearing a man’s #12 shoe on her left foot with the toe pointing backwards—she was the victim of an untreated club foot. Her forefoot was pointing backward. The treatment plan was to cut a rather sizeable bone wedge out of the middle of her foot so her forefoot could be swung around and fixed in a foreword pointing direction.

It makes my throat swell with joyful emotion even now as I remember the excitement and joy in those big beautiful eyes of hers when she saw her foot straight for the first time ever as I removed her cast—there’s nothing like knowing you have made a major difference in someone’s life.

One cannot imagine the thrill of witnessing a thirteen year old girl, who had been hospitalized for years and had undergone countless operations, take her first steps ever—she cried with excitement—the entire staff cried with joy—I’m crying now at age 86 from that memory—I was 30 then.

So afflictions come in all sorts and ‘shades of gray’—not all afflictions are physical. Likely, the most terrible afflictions are mental (emotional). Almost everyone can deal with their physical affliction—many, many, many cannot possibly cope emotionally.

For the most part, physical afflictions, are/have been a part of a person’s life all their life—they see other people doing things they can’t do but because they, themselves, have never done those things, they really can’t fully relate. They truly don’t know what they’re missing.

Emotional affliction is a different story. The enemy is inside them but they cant find it. They know it’s there—it’s going to attack any minute, but how and from where? The anxiety thus created is/can be exhausting—frequently, it reaches the stage of ‘total exhaustion’ (extreme depression)—I can’t run any longer—I give up—find me a gun—I’ve got to escape.

We all know of and/or have seen that scenario play out—without doubt it is the worst affliction imaginable. What causes it?

Without wincing or doubt, my assertion is that the greatest affliction ever to befall the human race is organized religion. In a nut shell, organized religion does two dreadful things—it demonizes each individual, and it pits each against the other. Those two factors create an atmosphere of guilt and/or hostility, both of which severely affect the subconscious of our developing psyches—the deformities thus created are curable but there are few ‘psychic surgeons’.

It is very likely that each of you reading this right now profess some religious affiliation. If I were to look you squarely in the face and ask you if you thought your neighbor’s religion was as good as yours, if you were truthful, you would say ‘not only no, but hell no’. Yet, in the same breath you would declare that you love, admire and respect him/her.

Now, I ask you to go look in the mirror—look yourself squarely in the face and answer that question, and then ask yourself ‘why is my religion better?’ I would suggest the usual answer would be that you were ‘raised a Catholic, a Methodist, a Baptist etc. In other words, each of us has been brainwashed from the time we were little kids on with that kind of thinking—Joe is OK but he goes to the Baptist Church; we’re Methodists. It goes without saying that If one Church were as ‘good as the next’, there’d be only one church.

So why have we been afflicted with over 33,000 so-called Christian churches alone?—to say nothing of the thousands of other religions in the world. Have you ever seriously considered that question. Do you ever wonder why the world is in constant turmoil, and always has been? Well, I have and do constantly.

I use the word ‘so-called Christian’ because, even though Jesus is the teacher about ‘the Christ’, he teaches from a ‘different book’ in each different religion. Therefore, both Jesus and The Christ are different people and/or ideas in each church. Ask yourself one simple question; can there possibly be more than one ‘truth’ about the same thing?—can 2+2 possibly be 6?—not in my world. So here we have 30,000+ attempting to make 2+2 something other than 4.

There is only one valid reason for the perpetual turmoil. Everyone has a different God. Everyone proclaims their God to be the creator and controller of everything. So what happens next—we have god-wars. My god is better than yours and so on—so we fight incessantly.

In the so-called Christian community, we are constantly attempting to ‘steal in broad daylight’ other denomination’s constituents. Why do you think that is? Can you be honest with yourself for one second? I’ll tell you why—Power, Money, Control.

My plea is for unanimity of understanding about the essence of God. Plain and simple—God is a Perfect Rational Being. When the money-grubbers disappear, we can have like-mindedness—we all can make 2+2=4—we can have peace.

My plea is for The World-wide Communion of Spirituality—that is for each and every person in existence to recognize and accept that the Spirit (will ) of God is imprinted onto each and every particle OF ENERGY WHICH MAKES UP ALL OF CREATION, including, of course, each of us. Therefore, we are all God’s children—we are God—God cannot possibly hate or dislike himself. We desperately need to rid ourselves of the terrible affliction of Organized Religion and put on the ‘cloak of Spirituality’. Then, and only then, will the true Christ (light of the world) within us shine. Then and only then will true Peace prevail—the Peace of Christ.

COST-Hilary L Hunt MD

COST-When we think of ‘cost’, likely the first thing that comes to mind is how much money we have to pay for something—how much does it cost. However, costs come in many forms and fashions—some overt and obvious—others obscure and/or hidden.

When gasoline was $4.00/gal, a frugal person might ‘think twice’ before jumping into a big gas-guzzling car or truck and making a frivolous trip somewhere. On the other hand, with gas at $1.22/gal, that same person might say, ‘it doesn’t cost that much, so let’s go.

For the savvy, financial costs are always a legitimate consideration. There are, lamentably, many , many other costs not always so obvious. For instance, a cigarette smoker may, unwittingly, be perfectly willing to bear the increasing dollar and cents cost of a pack of cigarettes, while ignoring the ultimate hidden costs of smoking—chronic lung disease, heart disease, renal disease, all of which are associated with chronic disability and frequent premature death—a real cost. That is to say nothing of the momentous medical costs and family distress associated with such a habit.

Look at the cost of alcoholism and drunk driving—alcoholic beverages themselves are not ‘cheap’, but their dollar cost pales in the face of the frequent anguish, injury , disease and death incurred by reckless drinking.

How about the costs of a hostile or slothful attitude—getting fired from a good job—loss of friendships. More importantly, what about the influential psychological costs imparted to your children by an absolute determined attitude of ‘keeping up with the Joneses’.

One could go on and on about the various consequential costs of our attitudes and activities. Seemingly, most of those consequences are either not recognized or , for what ever reason, ignored.

To me, the most discouraging consequential cost of life and living is the lack of unity among people. I can say with certainty that no two people ever have been ‘like-minded’ about an understanding of their Supreme Being (God, Buddha, Brahma, Yahweh, Allah etc.). Each person seems to have a ‘vague’ idea about their SB, but no two ideas are the same—they can’t possibly be.

And why is that, you may say. Plainly and simply, its because no one has ever defined the essence of their deity—that is no one before me. Having no essential definition of our deity makes it %100 impossible for any two people who ever lived or who ever will live to have identical essential knowledge and understanding of their ‘God’.

So what does that have to do with ‘cost’?—everything. What that means is that each person, in turn, while earnest in his/her desire to know and understand their God, is being led down ‘the primrose path’ of religion. Religion, of course, is a cultist practice intended to ‘appease’ a hostile god who lords it over us. That is definitely a ‘trumped up’ attitude devised originally by divining the celestial bodies and elements fourteen thousand years ago.

Eventually, the Jews determined that it could be ‘profitable’ for a few—the King and the High Priest. That knowledge was not ‘wasted’ on Christianity. Strangely, while Jesus ‘despised’ religion, people used his name to make billions and billions, and billions—they still are. The ‘costs’ of religion are staggering. Furthermore, the financial costs pale in the face of the psychological costs of guilt, anxiety and depression caused by religion.

They learned centuries ago that the ‘sure-fire’ way of getting your pocketbook was to shame you into ‘buying your way into heaven’—neither have they ever forgotten that trick. It certainly didn’t start with ‘the widows might’—neither did it stop there. They would, in fact, take your very last copper cent under the ‘guise’ of pleasing God.

So how do we ever correct that evil and ‘eliminate that terrible oppressive cost’? I can assure you, there is only one absolute and mandatory method—we must all become like-minded in our understanding of God’s essence. We must abandon the mythology and superstition thrown at us for ages and ages.

I have defined God’s essence once and for all— God is a Prefect Rational Being. That perfection translates into ‘Perfect Love”— perfect Love means God accepts us the way we are—there is absolutely nothing we can do to enhance that love of God for us.

God’s Love costs us absolutely nothing—it is an unbelievable ‘gift‘.

PUZZLE-Hilary L Hunt MD

PUZZLE- Now here’s one for you—are you ever puzzled about anything? Just what is a puzzle anyway? I suspect we all have been exposed to crossword puzzles and jigsaw puzzles. Additionally. I suspect we all have been ‘puzzled’ by many events, ideas and/or philosophies we’ve encountered in our lives.

Strictly speaking, a puzzle is a game or problem that tests our ingenuity, brainpower and knowledge. Some puzzles are a ‘fun’ challenge to solve—many create consternation—others seem unsolvable. We may frequently experience confusion and/or frustration at our ineptness.

Likely, nowhere is that confusion and frustration more obvious than that experienced by the average ‘joe’ in attempting to solve the puzzle of irrational ‘religion’ and/or philosophy/ideology. In my particular case, it began at a very early age, seven. It grew by ‘leaps and bounds’ and by age thirteen, I was convinced that I had been presented with a puzzle of ‘monumental proportions’ which demanded solution. That ‘solution’ tested both my knowledge and determination for years. Finally, after roughly sixty years, and by the most unlikely circumstances, the solution to my puzzlement became clear.

And you might ask just what my puzzlement was about—and I would answer, ‘multiple considerations’ all, of which stem from lack of understanding of the nature (essence) of our God (Supreme Being, Yahweh, Allah, Buddha, Brahma etc.) Most of those puzzlements concerned my relationship with God, eternity, heaven, hell, purgatory, my soul, Trinity, prayer and mysteries—putting all of those considerations in a basket and shaking them up created one grant puzzle for me while at the same time creating unbelievable confusion, frustration and consternation.

However, no matter how impossible the task seemed to be, my determination persisted. Luckily, my knowledge base expanded exponentially when I had the good fortune to ‘stumble onto’ the science of Quantum Mechanics (particle physics). That subject involves an evolutionary process of discerning, discovering , defining and observing the nature of the tiniest particles of energy which make up everything in existence—God.

For those who may not know, a quantum is the smallest particle of energy in existence which cannot be farther subdivided. There are, in fact, several varieties of these particles. Each has been given a name such as photon, electron, boson, etc. It is of particular interest to note that each is identical to and indistinguishable from its counterparts. Furthermore, each is ‘perfect in both form and function’—never changing nor changeable.

So, what are the implications of something that is perfect and both never changing nor changeable? Is that not exactly what eternity is—a state of being with no beginning nor end in which change (time) of any kind is impossible? Wow!!!!—the ‘lights came on’—my puzzle was solved.

Suddenly, I ‘knew’ who God is. I could and did actually ‘define God’s essence’. God is a Perfect Rational Being. That Perfect Rationality means that with its Perfect Intellect, It envisioned each and every particle of energy, all of which ‘mirror’ him. Of course, he loves himself and his own image—he cannot possibly reject something perfect. So, with his Perfect Will, he chooses, loves, accepts his image in perpetuity. Bingo—the ‘mystery’ of the Trinity solved—-one major piece of the puzzle conquered.

Suddenly, a completely new philosophy and understanding of everything was at hand. All organized religion was fallacious, since all were based on ‘false premises’.

God is Perfect, so his love is perfect. Therefore he cannot possibly reject himself. Since his image is imprinted onto each particle that makes up our being, we are him—as is every other gravid object in existence.

So, what are the implications? There are many, and each refutes concepts of humanistic religions. God’s Perfect love precludes any possibility of Hell, Purgatory, Limbo. Heaven (eternity) is a state of being of perfect happiness and Joy in God, not a place where everyone in running around meeting and greeting each other (a human concept). Therefore, there are no ‘higher places’ in heaven (a human concept). God is our ‘soul’—without God we have no soul—we have no existence. Prayer is a total waste (misplacement) of understanding of God—Begging God to change his nature and perform ‘miracles’ for us is really blasphemous—our only ‘justifiable’ prayer is ‘thank you God’. Thanksgiving is the meaning of the word Eucharist. Miracles are an impossibility—God cannot possibly ‘change’ his Perfect Nature—God can be neither ‘pleased’ nor ‘displeased’—God is all Love.

You may ask about Jesus—how does he fit into the picture? And, as I have explained many times before, I accept that Jesus was a true genius who saw exactly what I see—he didn’t have benefit of Quantum Mechanics. He recognized that God had created a 100% evil (selfish) world. He reasoned that since God had created an evil universe, he must make retribution by dying—thereby showing his ‘Perfect Love’. Jesus knew that God resided in him—he and everything in existence were ‘mirror images’ of God. Since he was the only one to know that, he saw himself as the ‘sacrificial lamb of God’. Willingly, but with great fear and trepidation, he accepted the fate—God’s Perfect Love was exposed.

So what about the ‘Last Supper’—what was Jesus saying to his apostles for the forty millionth and last time? He was attempting to instill an understanding that God is in all things including him and them as well as that bread and wine they were eating—we’ll never know whether or not he was successful—so distorted and corrupted is the bible. We have an inkling that maybe John did. In his letter he states ‘brothers, what we are now, we know we are children of God; what we are to become is to be determined. We do know that when we get to heaven we will be like God because we will see him as he truly is’ (paraphrased). Quite obviously, no one could see God as he ‘truly is’ except God himself—so, John seemed to recognize and understand what Jesus had been telling them.

So what about the word communion—some religions speak of Holy Communion. Yes it is communion and yes it is Holy Communion because it represents the commonality we all share—we all are imbued with the Holy Commonality of God’s presence in us—and everything else, I might add.

Now here is a concept which is somewhat staggering to me. Just for one moment consider this. We and every gravid object in existence are continually changing and evil (selfish). Therefore, we exist in a temporal (finite) world—we ,as everything else, will cease to exist some day. However, everything that makes our being is the prefect, unchanging particles of God’s energy which already exist in eternity—isn’t that amazing? Does that tickle your brain about your soul? God is your soul—he cannot possibly reject himself.

Most religion of any kind or fashion of which I am aware, while maybe in some instances well intentioned, is man-made, fashioned after human values of selfish control and greed, and more importantly based on false premises and ignorance. Buddhism and Hinduism seem, for the most part, to be different in that they are more contemplative—they are still trying to discern the exact nature of their Supreme Being. It would be helpful for them to study Quantum Mechanics.

I could go on and on about these subjects but I suspect you’d get bored. However I have developed this philosophy and carried it to its ultimate conclusion of a certain pathway to permanent ‘loving peace’. IMMUNITY-Hilary L Hunt MD

IMMUNITY-This seems to be a very appropriate topic for today’s discussion. I presume that most people have a cursory understanding of immunity. In the field of biological science, it refers to the ability of an organism to resist infection from bacterial or viral agents through the development of antibodies to those specific agents. Those antibodies are usually developed from either previous infection with a specific organism, or by being exposed to killed versions of the organism through a process of inoculation with its vaccine.

Vaccines have been developed and deployed over the years to protect us from the consequences of devastating diseases. Some of the more common are the famous DPT (Diphtheria, Pertussis [Whooping Cough] and Tetanus [Lock Jaw], Small Pox, Polio, Measles, Influenza, Pneumonia, and Shingles. An exhaustive list would include Typhoid Fever and Tropical diseases. Some inoculations confer permanent immunity, while others such as Tetanus require periodic boosters in order to maintain protection.

I can so vividly remember the shouts of joy that went up from our entourage of doctors, nurses and medical students when, while we were making grand rounds, someone came running down the hallway and announced that Dr. Jonas Salk had developed a vaccine for Polio. I was a junior medical student at St. Louis University in 1957 and understood well the implications of such a development. Five years later, when I entered the orthopedic training program of the prestigious Willis C. Campbell Clinic in Memphis, TN. I was literally shocked to see the multitude of cripples resulting from that devastating disease. It was such a relief knowing that our children and future generations of children would be spare such torment.

In our legal system, immunity is granted for various reasons— usually that immunity means someone does not have to testify.

Currently, the entire world is stymied in the throes of the COVID-19 virus pandemic. As yet there is no vaccine for this virus—neither is there any known ‘natural immunity’ in society at large. World economies have been shut down, and millions have died from the infection. Most deaths have occurred in the elderly or otherwise medically compromised young.

Much speculation and theory has been promulgated in an attempt to ‘right the ship’ and get our economies going again. Of course, what the world needs is ‘natural immunity’. That may be achieved in two ways—one, a vaccine—the other, by allowing the younger people, who can better tolerate the disease’s effects, to become infected, thereby bestowing a natural immunity in society at large. Theoretically then, the vires could not get a foot-hold in society again. The problem with that approach may be similar to influenza—the COVID-19 virus may mutate and require annual or periodic immunizations. Currently, we have neither—natural immunity nor a vaccine. So, we are, indeed, in dire straits.

That same philosophy could and should be applied to the world-wide ‘virus’ of selfish religion. It is eating away at the fabric of humanity—it always has. The death, destruction and torment, both mental and physical, is astounding. Just take a casual glance at our world—nothing but violence and threats of violence perpetually. And why ?—religion and ideology.

Everyone has a different God (virus), and it is determined to destroy every other God. The reason is clear—no one knows who God is.

Three years ago, I published a little book defining the essence of God. I recognized that the only way to develop a vaccine from religion was to recognize and identify the culprit. In Wilderness Cry- A Scientific and Philosophical Approach to Understanding God and the Universe, I define the essence of God—God is a Perfect Rational Being. Thus far, no one has stepped forward to attempt to refute that definition—it is, in fact, irrefutable.

Two years ago, I began writing a thesis on how Peace may be achieved. Peace in Spirituality was published less than a year ago. It outlines all of the causes of hostilities in the world. Furthermore, it shows conclusively the absolute only pathway to peace.

Simultaneous to beginning preparation of Peace in Spirituality, on this blog-site, I made a call for the understanding and acceptance of The World-wide Communion of Spirituality—that call is being made on a perpetual basis. Will it be heeded?—likely not. The ‘virus’ is running rampant—no immunizing vaccine has been promulgated. It is available everywhere. Will you partake and help develop a ‘natural immunity’ in our society? I sincerely hope so.

Press Release for Peace in Spiritiality

REPITITION- Repeating anything is one of the valuable methods we have of learning. That may come in many, many forms and/or modes. As children, we may have learned our multiplication tables by repeating them over and over again. We hone our skills of any type or variety by repeated performance. Athletes develop their excellence in any endeavor by repeatedly refining their efforts. Essentially everything we, as rational beings, know stems from repetitive attempts. We are usually able to build on our repertoire of knowledge and skills by learning the basic fundamentals first and then by using those fundamentals to expand our understandings and abilities in all directions, seemingly in endless fashion.

Needless to say, those fundamentals must be accurate in order for future outcomes to be accurate and meaningful. If not, sooner or later, disaster and disappointment are predictable. That exact scenario has been acted out in one fashion or another for fourteen thousand years.

Since there was no certain knowledge, ancient people had to use their imagination to navigate the course of life. Those imaginations prompted a set of guidelines based on mythology and superstition. Nowhere was that more evident than in the development of concepts of god, goddesses, and God. Typically, the cosmic bodies were their guidelines—each generation in turn learned those concepts by repetitive instruction from their elders and teachers. Some of those ‘known facts’ were that the earth was flat, and moon and stars controlled literally everything. So staunch were those ‘known facts’ that all sorts of gods and goddesses were a certainty—and each had to be honored and respected in a certain way or else disaster likely would befall.

As luck would have it sooner or later some inquisitive minds began to question some of those ‘known facts’. One of those thinkers was Magellan who led an expedition that successfully circumnavigated the planet in the 1500’s, thus proving it to be round. Another was Galileo Galilei who developed the first telescope. His observations of our solar system proved that sun was the center of our world. Prior to that time, the earth was ‘known to be the center’—publication of that scientific discovery nearly cost him his life at the hands of the Inquisition. Only his friendship with the Pope and his hasty recanting of his discovery saved his life—he spent the last nine years of his life under house arrest anyway.

There has been a continuing litany of scientific discoveries generated by inquisitiveness and the daredevil nature of some to ‘question the authorities’—the know-it-alls. As the story goes (who knows) the Jews are given credit for discerning the existence of the one and only ‘true God’. Of course, as usual, they developed a scheme of attributes for him—-he was all powerful but otherwise pretty human-like. He could be loving and kind, or he could turn on you with a horse whip on a second’s notice—he definitely could be bargained with. They made covenants with him and when one failed, they made another. That, of course, was their reasoned-to excuse for the first one failing—-they were getting smarter. No telling how many repetitions they may have had if disaster hadn’t befallen them.

The problem with the Jew’s God and all gods and goddesses was that nobody, but nobody, ever was able to define their God’s essence—-they didn’t really know who or what God was. Consequently, they and all the successors of Abraham have been running around for four to six thousand years repeatedly expounding about an entity the identity of which they had/have not the foggiest notion.

Throughout the centuries, great minds and inquisitive thinkers alike, realizing the diminutive status attributed to God, tried desperately to define the essence of their God—they all failed. They failed because they had absolutely no correct background understanding and knowledge from which to work and build such an essential definition. All they knew for sure was the repetitious misunderstandings handed down by the Jews and perpetuated by the Jewish followers of Christ.

I am certain that Jesus did understand God’s essence—he attempted desperately to impart that knowledge to his disciples. As far as I can tell he failed miserably. Biblical scholars have shown us conclusively that the writings at hand have been so distorted over the centuries as not to be reliable. It’s very likely that we will never know.

That, of course, makes no difference to the perpetrators of ‘their story’—they are building empires and fortunes repeating the ‘truth’ to their followers. Furthermore, they are vigorously attempting to steal their competitor’s audience. Of the thousands and thousands of different empires, some big, some little, most are sending ‘missionaries’ to the four corners of the earth in an attempt to convert their competitor’s constituents into their fold. They assume that by repetitive efforts their empire will grow.

Does any of that seem selfish to you? — it certainly does to me.

I might not be the brightest star in the sky, but all of that chicanery along with much else caught my attention years and years ago. Consequently, I resolved to define the essence of God once and for all. With a little luck, I stumbled upon the science of Quantum Mechanics (particle physics), the most basic knowledge and understanding of the make-up of every gravid object in existence. That knowledge not only allowed but mandated my definition of God’s essence. In quantum mechanics I learned there is a perfect rationality to everything in our universe. I learned that everything that has ever happened is a ‘perfect result’ for its foregoing set of circumstances. Different events with similar foregoing circumstances will always produce a perfect but different result for its set of foregoing conditions. Therefore, I was able to reason to God’s essence and define it with six simple words.

So, repeat after me: God is a Perfect Rational being; God is a Perfect Rational Being; God is a Perfect Rational Being——-

Keep repeating it over and over until it sinks in—when it does, your eyes will be opened to a new reality. You will immediately see the fallacy in all the mythology we have been taught — physical miracles of any kind are impossible because God would have to change his nature to allow for them — God, being perfect, cannot possibly change. Change would demand an element of time and since eternity is a state of being where there is no time, it is impossible. Theoretically, if God did change, all truth would be lost and likely the universe would instantly implode.
