TRINITY GOD-Most Likely, whether or not you are a so-called Christian, you have heard of Trinity God. More than likely, if you are Christian, you have used some version of that expression hundreds, maybe thousands of times. Most of us have been so inculcated with the term that we use it without even thinking about what we’re really saying—as a matter of fact, we can’t realistically think about what we’re saying—we’ve been told emphatically that its a mystery and is unintelligible to us mere mortals. In spite of that fact, priests and preachers alike world-wide spit out that term or those terms with such voracious rapidity as to make it seem like common everyday horse-sense knowledge. Everybody knows what the Trinity is—its the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost, right? Oh yes, but just wait a minute……

Have you ever asked one of those preachers to explain the Trinity to you and if so, what response did you get. Most likely, a response like a fish wriggling off a shallow-set hook. They’ll respond—well, its God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Ghost. In modern times, they may use Holy Spirit instead of Holy Ghost—Ghost sounds too scary. Guess what, up until forty-fifty years ago, the word Ghost was the common usage. It was the word Jesus used—in a different language of course.

So, lets try a different angle to milk a meaningful answer out of them—preacher, tell me who God the Father is. And forthrightly you’ll get a barrage of ‘God the Father is Creator of the world’. But who is God the Farther preacher? Well, I just told you. ‘he’s creator of the world. But preacher, tell me about just who this God is—what is its basic essence that gave her such ability? Hmm, essence?—not sure I can do that.

Well Preacher, who is God the Son? Oh, well, that’s easy; he is Jesus, God’s Son. Well how does God go about having a Son; I thought God was invisible so, how could he have a human son. Well, you know, God miraculously impregnated a virgin and Jesus was the product. Oh I see. Well tell about the Holy Ghost—where did it come from? I’m not sure I can explain that to you, but Jesus mentions him in the Bible. Oh, ok. Who wrote the Bible preacher? Oh, a bunch of people. Well if it were written by a ‘bunch of people’ how do we know its true? Because its the ‘inspired word of God. What do you mean by the ‘inspired word of God’ preacher? It means that, even though humans wrote, God was creating thoughts in their minds to keep them from making a mistake. So, Father, how do we know that? Because the Pope said so and the Pope is never wrong about such things,. Well how do we know the Pope is never wrong (infallible). Well that’s simple, he said so—he declared himself so. He declared a dogma that made himself infallible under certain circumstances, and the inerrancy of the bible is one of them. Oh, ok, I get it.

But what I don’t understand is why there are hundreds of versions of the Bible and no two of them say the same thing. At the same time, there have been/are billions of interpretations of what the Bible says. How come? If the Bible is inerrant and the ‘inspired’ word of God, how is it possible for God to stay completely mixed up and confused? Well, to tell you the truth, all those other folks are ‘dead-wrong’—mime/ours is the only correct one. Really? How do you know that? Well, because that’s what ‘my church” believes. Oh, I see—just because you ‘believe it’ that makes it so? Well, in my mind it does.

Now I get the picture—we have billions of people over the ages ‘believing’ stuff which they imagine from one source or another and proclaiming it to be the authoritative ‘word of God’—a God they talk about incessantly, but one whose essence they cannot define. They speak of mysteries and Ghosts and all sorts of things like miracles, and all the while ‘swearing and bedamning’ to be the only correct one. Furthermore, their certainty has been such as to justify perpetual torment and eternal wars among and between each other. Who in hell is this God that they cannot define—what is this Trinity they cant define—I’ll tell you post-haste—not even in the field of Quantum Mechanics (particle physics) does the principle of uncertainty run that rampant.

The very first thing that must be done in order to have a clear picture of the Trinity is to define the essence of God—something I have done, but never done before me. It brings a graphic picture of the Trinity into clear focus. God is a Perfect Rational Being. So what does that mean? I’ll break it down word for word for you.

1-When we say God, it means we accept there is God, the absolute only ‘faith’ required. No one can neither prove nor disprove the existence of God, but my understanding of Quantum Mechanics make it very logical to accept a concept of God.

2-When we say is, we mean ever present; not yesterday, nor tomorrow.

3-When we say a, we mean singular—none other.

4-When we say Perfect, we mean complete, nothing missing—cannot be pleased nor displeased—cannot change nor be changed—exists in eternity.

5-When we say Rational we mean an Intellect which perceives and a Will which achieves.

6-When we say Being, we mean it exists.

Now that we have defined God’s essence, we are now free to explore its ‘accidents’—accidents are those features that make something the specific one of its kind. That brings us to the ‘second person’ of the Trinity. One may legitimately ask, ‘what would a prefect intellect reflect upon?’ The logical answer would be ‘something perfect’ if it existed. Since the only perfect thing in existence is God’s perfect intellect, he looks inward, and what does he see?—a perfect mirror image of himself. Of course, since everything in the supernatural is living, that image is living—the second person of the Trinity. Wait just one minute, you may say—‘I thought Jesus was the second person of Trinity?’. And I say all of God’s image (creation) is second person—Jesus was the representative of God’s entire reflective creation—he was the only one of us to understand that principle—he assumed the role of messiah for the entire universe. However, collectively the entire universe(s) is a reflection of God’s Perfection.

Now that we have defined God the Father and God the Son, what about the Holy Ghost. Well, believe it or not, that’s the easy part. Just consider this—what choice would two Perfect Intellects have when viewing each other—could they possibly ‘reject’ each other? No way—their only choice is to love (accept, choose, will) each other. That perpetual Loving, Accepting, Choosing, Willing each other carries the image of its generators—It is the Holy Ghost—the Will of God— the Third Person of Trinity.

So there you have a perfectly clear image of the Trinity. That understanding carries many, many ramifications all of which are contrary to organized religion of any kind world-wide. JESUS, OUR BROTHER-Hilary L Hunt MD

JESUS, OUR BROTHER– Somewhere in one of the hymns we sing at Catholic mass, Jesus is referred to as ‘our brother’. I have often wondered how Catholics in general consider that notation—or if they consider it at all. So many hymns and prayers are oft repeated so as to become ritualistic—memorized and repeated without specific thought or attention to meaning. Its much more fun to be critiquing someone’s dress, or hair-do, or replaying the winning hole of golf from yesterday’s game, than to be concentrating on the boring ritual of memorized prayer or song.

Also, somewhere in the Old Testament (I’m too lazy to look it up), one of our Sunday mass scripture readings states that ‘behold, a virgin shall give birth’ (paraphrased). That, of course, is foretelling Jesus’ virgin conception and birth. It is specifically noteworthy that the New Testament writers repeatedly fashioned their stories about Jesus so that such and such happened ‘that the scripture might be fulfilled’. In other words, the dreamy ideas of the Old testament writers had to be brought to living fruition by the Jewish and Greek writers—truth was of no consideration. All of that is completely understandable when we realize that all of their ideas were based on astrology plus the declaration that they could talk directly with God and even bargain with him—at least, that’s what The Old Testament says. I don’t believe it and, in condensed form, I’m about to tell you why.

Jesus is, in fact, our brother. He was made of identically the same particles of energy as you and I. And, as I have elucidated many times before, everything that ever existed in the physical world is made of identically the same energy. Those energy particles are perfect and unchanging just as God is perfect and unchanging—therefore they exist in eternity as does God—they, in fact, are God. I am allowed to say that because I have defined the essence of God—God is a Perfect Rational Being.

God’s Perfect Intellect designed those particles directly from his nature—with his Perfect Will (Love) he made and keeps them perfect. They all exist in eternity as God because of their perfection—yet all of their created objects, including us, exist in a perpetually changing physical world. So, without question, Jesus is brother to us, as well as, to every grain of sand in existence. Does that help you understand your soul?—your soul is God—you are temples of the Holy Spirit, just as Paul said.

The Holy Spirit is not a Paraclete (one who accompanies or walks beside you), the Holy Spirit is in you. No one can ‘impart’ the Holy Spirit upon you—it already does and always has, from the moment of your conception, resided in you—it is your soul, your life giving principle.

Now back to the ‘virgin birth’—from a rational standpoint, it is an impossibility—all so-called physical miracles are an impossibility. In order for a physical miracle to occur, God would have to change his nature—God is Perfect and incapable of changing anything. If he ‘changed’, he would slip out of eternity back into time—there is no time in eternity. Time is a measure of change—eternity is a state of being without change (time).

It is quite obvious to me that, based on the literature we have, no one knew nor understood who Jesus really was, nor what his real message was/is. My deduction tells me Jesus only message was love (acceptance). He asked us to accept God and each other, while he, as a mirror image of God, was accepting the entire universe of selfishness (evil).

Jesus, our brother, was our representative—he was the only entity of the entire reflected image (second person of Trinity) of God to comprehend the presence of God in everything. He was the only entity to see and understand the universal evil of selfishness. He was the only entity to recognize that God’s Perfection demanded Perfect Love. He was the only entity to recognize that Perfect love must be demonstrated—otherwise it was meaningless. He was the only entity to recognize that since he, himself, was the only one to understand that principle, he was the Messiah—he had to pay the price—that, he did willingly.

Jesus was super-genius—Jesus is our brother.

WHAT IF JESUS—Hilary L Hunt MD

WHAT IF JESUS…-Now that’s a peculiar introduction to a writing—don’t you think? I’ll agree, it seems so but I’ll you assure the purpose will become clear.

When I was a child into young adulthood, I was taught Catholic Catechism with the authenticity of arithmetic. Of course, the main theme of that teaching was about the Ten Commandments, the commandments of the Catholic Church and belatedly about Jesus. It seemed that most of the Jesus teachings centered on the Jews and what a terrible people they were. They were, in fact, the most despicable people ever to be imagined. All of that depravity heaped upon them stemmed from one thing—they killed Jesus.

The implication from my teaching was that Jesus was attempting to tell us about God by instructing his apostles for future spreading his words to the world whilst at the same time steering clear of the Jews. Somehow, Jesus knew that the Jews wouldn’t like what he was saying. After all, the Jews were the ‘chosen people’—God had made a pact with them to ‘never again abandon them’. So, where did Jesus get the right to come in and start teaching heresy— that was the sixty four thousand dollar question.

Jesus was telling people that God loved them, while the Jews were ‘afraid ‘of God—he would wreak all sorts of wrath upon them if they failed to hold up to their end of the bargain. Jesus could, in fact, see the extreme self-righteousness and selfishness of the Jewish hierarchy. He could see how the Jewish ‘commoner’ was really a slave in his own land. He taught us that the hierarchy were hypocrites, thieves, and self-righteous liars—he actually told them so to their faces—they didn’t like it one bit.

I was never taught and neither have I ever been taught that Jesus death was sufficient for my total redemption—that could only come through the workings of the ‘Church’ who held the ‘keys to the kingdom’ in their hands. In the meantime, the Jews were the most despicable people ever to be created—that’s what I was taught.

As I got older, I began to see in the activities of so-called Christianity identical semblance to the Jewish hierarchy—lording over its subjects, extorting money from them in God’s name, human abuses of all kinds some of which are unimaginable (extreme torture followed by burning alive at the stake), threats of eternal hell, etc., just to name a few. In light of those observances, I was compelled to extract the truth from all the garbage. In doing so I was forced to develop a complete philosophy in order to justify Christianity of any kind. That I did.

The first unanswered and most critical question was ‘just who is this God everyone has been rambling on about forever?). Through extensive research and study, I discovered that no one had ever defined the ‘essence’ of that God. I knew instantly that without an essential definition, their god was simply a myth—what consternation that discovery created in me!!! I had to define God’s essence.

Eventually after years of study and pondering, and more precisely after studying ‘particle physics’ (quantum mechanics), I was able to make that definition in irrefutable terms. In Particle Physics, I discovered that everything in this universe is made of identical particles of energy, each prefect in form and function, and each ever unchanging. I realized right then that I was seeing and describing God. God is a Perfect Rational Being. Bingo!- that definition explained all. Succicently, it explained in no uncertain term who Jesus was and, more importantly, what his mission was. Very simply put, his mission was to die for the expiation of all the selfishness (evil) in the universe—God’s perfect love must be exposed.

So, the ‘what if Jesus’ had not died is the big, big question. Frankly, I don’t know the answer to that question. In reality, it’s a theoretical, immaterial question anyway and does not pertain. The fact is Jesus did die for a very specific reason.

So, how bad were the Jews? I’d vouch to say no worse than any other society that ever existed including ours’ right here in the good old USA. Jesus simply used his fatherland brethren as a vehicle for executing his plan and purpose. He had to die—he saw himself as the messiah, the sacrificial lamb who would exonerate us all—he did. Thank God for Jesus and for the Jews!!!!!.

PRAYER-Do you pray, and if so, why? To whom do you pray and what do you expect from your prayers. I was taught that there are basically three kinds of prayer, contrition, petition , and thanksgiving.

In prayers of contrition we acknowledge to God and the Saints in heaven that we are sinners, express regret and sorrow for our sins and vow to sin no more. Of course, as a practical matter, we break that vow almost before it gets out of our mouths. Most people know the Ten Commandments but, likely as not, the only ones of consequence in their minds are number six and number nine. Not many people kill someone in cold blood—neither do many rob a bank. I would suggest to you from my observation of peoples behavior that the most frequently violated commandment is number eight—number ten runs a close second. However, it is quite obvious to me that most people consider it to be their right and privilege to be both critical and envious of their neighbor without the slightest thought of it being ‘sinful’. And what about that ‘honor your father and mother’ deal—disrespect of parents has become so openly blatant as to be scandalous.

Now here’s my favorite—prayers of petition. I have pondered endlessly what people expect when they beg God to change his mind. Again, it seems quite obvious to me that they have no realistic notion of what they are asking. Basically what those prayers are doing is asking God to momentarily ‘dash out of eternity’ into our ‘time world of change’, make a rearrangement (miracle) just for them and then immediately dash back into eternity. In my book Wilderness Cry, I define the essence of God— God is a perfect rational being. That definition in itself excludes any possibility of God being able to ‘change’ anything. God’s Perfection means no change is possible. God’s existence in eternity, a state of being without change, precludes any possibility of God being able to change anything. Time is a measure of change—there is no time in eternity. I believe that all of that thought process stems from the ‘creation theory’ of the universe—God made it, so he can change it any old time he wants. Well, in the days of scientific void, that dog hunted well. However, with our scientific understanding of God’s ‘real creation’ that old dog just won’t hunt any more. We now know that God made only one creation, the tiny little particles of energy (quanta) of which everything is made. Each of them is perfect and unchangeable—each exists in eternity with God (is God). Therefore no change is possible—physical miracles are a scientific and philosophic impossibility.

Now here’s my favorite—prayers of thanksgiving. Admittedly, we have so much to be thankful for—our life, our sustenance and our salvation through Jesus. So, its understandable that we may feel moved to give God his just due with a hearty ‘thank you’. The question is, do you believe God is perfect? If you don’t, you’re admitting to the possibility of a ‘superior god’ to yours. If you do, and who can legitimately deny it, you’re admitting to God’s Perfect love. So just what is ‘perfect love’? It is acceptance without conditions—God accepts (loves) us regardless of what we do—God knows WHY WE BE. He allowed us to ‘BE’ and why? So he could show us his perfect love through the death of his and our mirror image, Jesus. So, should we be thankful?— absolutely. Does God care?—not in the least. His caring would demonstrate a weakness in his character—certainly not perfection.

So, what’s all the praying about? I’ll submit to you that prayers of contrition are chastening and potentially beneficial for making us better people toward God and neighbor (‘You shall love your God with your all and you shall love your neighbor as yourself. [paraphrased] ).

I accept the scientific and philosophic principle that prayers of petition are worthless. Asking God to do something he cannot possibly do borders on blasphemy. In addition, they, unwittingly, demonstrate our extreme degree of self-centered selfishness. Just for one moment consider the ultimate consequences of such prayers—if God ‘answered’ everyone’s such prayers, there would be no suffering or death, no inconvenience of any kind—we would be in a New Paradise where snakes talked; bears, lions, and alligators rubbed noses with loving kisses and all is well—a veritable fantasy world. Have you taken note of how often we pray for the miraculous cure of a dreaded disease, but in spite of all the prayers, our loved one dies—does that mean God doesn’t love us, or maybe we didn’t ‘pray hard enough—do you accept that responsibility—do you feel guilty ? On the other hand, how often do we see people successfully undergo the simplest of medical procedures or get well from a common cold, and declare it a miracle because they prayed—I wonder what they really mean or just what understanding they really have.

Now we come to prayers of thanksgiving. While I believe that God expects nothing from us, prayers of thanksgiving are humbling and remind us of our eternal dependence on God—that’s a good thing.

One must ask where all these ideas about prayer come from in the first place. I can assure you they came directly from the imaginary minds of mythology. I have belabored this point ad nauseum, but all religion stemmed from the imaginary idea that God was/is a punitive God and must be appeased. All religion is irrational because it has as its basis an imaginary, mythical god. My God is real—I have defined it—can you define the essence of your god?

CHILD OF GOD- Hilary L Hunt MD

Are you a child of God , and if so, how does that work for you? I’m 86 years old and I suspect that during those 86 years, I’ve heard that expression at least fifty thousand times. If you profess to be a Christian, the likelihood is that you’ve heard it many, many times also. Every priest, deacon, preacher, Sunday school teacher and religion instructor of any kind has thrown that statement at us on a continual basis. Like so many things we hear in the religion sphere, we are lectured to and ask to believe assertions with implicit faith, but with no suitable explanation as a basis for our faith—we call that blind faith.

Off the top of my head, I know of at least one place in the Bible where that assertion is made—1 John, 3:2. Paraphrased, it says ‘we are God’s children now, but when we see him as he truly is, we will be like him’. Of course, if we are like God, then we are God. So maybe all those millions of assertion we have heard about being children of God are true. But could you explain to me or anyone else just how that is possible? God is a spirit existing in eternity—he has no DNA to impart to anyone. Furthermore, God has no goddess with whom to mate and generate offspring.

Have you ever asked your priest or preacher to explain how we come to be children of God, and , if so, what response did you get? Every time I’ve asked such questions, I get told to ‘just accept it’. I have heard somewhere along the line the explanation that we are ‘adopted’ by God and therefore are his children—I suppose that’s a pretty good answer if we could believe it. For some strange reason, answers like that never satisfied me—I always wanted a realistic, scientific, philosophically sound reason for accepting anything ‘in belief’. Just because somebody says something, doesn’t make it so. The great philosopher Socrates proclaimed to the world that we should “question everything”—the Greek elite killed him for saying so—they wanted ‘nobody’ questioning them—sounds a little like the Jesus story doesn’t it?

My natural inquisitive mind forced me to search for answers—there is, in fact, a specific reason for every truth—the trick is to find (discover) it. That is basically what science is—the word science comes from the Latin word scientia which means knowledge, and knowledge of course is truth. We also know that God is all truth. We know that truth because I have defined God’s essence in irrefutable terms—God is a perfect rational being. That definition says it all—nothing can be added—nothing can be deleted.

So you might ask what that definition has to do with us being ‘children of God’, and I would say ‘everything’. Through the attainment of knowledge by use of the scientific process, we know that everything in existence is made of identically the same things—tiny particles of energy called quanta (plural for quantum). Each of those particles is perfect in both form and function, is identical and indistinguishable from its counterparts, and, more importantly, never changes. That ‘never changes’ part is where the “rub’ comes in—its astonishing; they all exist in eternity. Since there is nothing in eternity except God and his eternal creation, we are destined to ‘be with him as his child. In fact our entire make-up exists already in eternity. That is a startling revelation—we are living now in an ever-changing universe, while at the same time, all of our ‘building blocks’ exist in eternity—pretty amazing, eh?

Now you are equipped to lecture adroitly on the principle dictums of Jesus. I am convinced that Jesus understood that concept perfectly. He didn’t know anything about particle physics, but he could see the universal selfishness in the world. He knew that atonement must be made. He recognized the image of God, not only in himself, but in all of creation. His awareness told him, that since no one else understood that principle, he ‘had to be the chosen one’—he had to be the sacrificial lamb—he was a child of God also.

It is quite obvious to me, that while the majority of people are extremely busy creating discord by peddling disinformation about God and Jesus, the real thinkers who have divorced themselves from that nonsense, are busy discovering truth. Little by little, we are gradually gaining a glimpse into the workings of that Perfect Intellect which we call God. Its a beautiful thing.

WHY WE BE-Hilary L Hunt MD

Have you ever wondered why you are your own, singular person, or why another person can be so different from you? Undoubtedly, most people ask themselves and others that exact same question over and over again without even realizing it. How often we hear someone (anyone) say, ‘I just don’t understand why/how so and so thinks or does this or that’. I doubt any conversation could go on five minutes without similar statements being made. The answer to all those queries is a simple, personality development—and just what does that mean?

It would be nice if personality development could be explained in a few words—it can’t. It would take volumes and volumes to explore all the intricacies involved. However, a brief intelligible overview is possible—hopefully that would help alleviate some of the misunderstanding, and bewilderment we experience on a minute to minute basis in our daily lives. Hopefully it would give insight into why we each are different, and, simultaneously, help us be more accepting (loving) of each other. So, let’s give it a try.

First off, each of us came ready equipped with our inherited genetic make-up. That includes our basic physique, our temperament, our basic IQ (rationality), and our sex—just to name a few. Those basic qualities equip us to experience stimuli and to react to stimuli. That process begins in-utero and ends at death—in between those two terminals, each of us is being changed on a moment-to-moment basis as we react to each stimulus. Early on, those changes are rapid and frequent—we’ve never had that experience before. So, what do we do with each new stimulus—we react in some fashion—furthermore, we store that reaction information in our subconscious so we will automatically react to similar stimuli in a similar way in the future. Most of that ‘reaction information’ was generated and stored in a very immature mind (rationality) because it was generated before we were able to make rational decisions. Thereby, we are pre-programed with much reaction information which may be, and likely is, irrational. Reaction responses of all types are generated and stored. The quality of that information is directly related to the quality of the stimulus. In other words, our family attitudes, pre-school teachers, babysitters, all of our contacts impart attitudinal stimuli to which we react.

No two of us are exposed to the same identical stimulus, but if we were, we would react somewhat differently because we started with different ‘tools’. So, depending upon the nature and desirability of the stimulus, our subconscious is programed one way or another—all too frequently, obtuse to societally accepted norms. As we reach the ‘age of reason’ we automatically and predictably react to a stimulus in a certain way, but we don’t know why—our base operating system was installed before we were rational.

As we go through life experiencing millions of stimuli daily, we are reacting according to the dictates of our immature operating system—each reaction generates a tiny change in our personality. Our basic attitudes about literally everything are established and further entrenched as we go through life, and all of them grounded in attitudes established before we became rational—it’s a never-ending process in this life.

Of course, after we reach the age of reason, every action we take is dictated by our rational conscious intellect which always has to choose what it considers the better of two choices—those considerations are grounded in our subconscious, and each of our subconscious is dramatically different from the next. Accordingly, each of us sees things with different attitudes.

Nowhere that I have observed this attitudinal difference to be greater than in the area of religion and/or politics. Most every one of us have been pre-programmed in both arenas. It is possible to change the ideas we were programmed with, but it usually takes a lot of education, observation and soul-searching to do so.

Literally everyone has hang-ups — thing or circumstances we avoid or are attracted to excessively. We all have fears, anxieties, or obsessions and we don’t know why. I can tell you from my medical experience, the only method I’m aware of permanently eliminating those hang-ups is through the process of psychoanalytic psychotherapy. That involves sessions of interacting verbally with the therapist. Typically, those sessions are one hour each and on a weekly basis for about a year. During those sessions, the therapist skillfully guides the patient, through conversation, right back to the time when the irrational decision was made—the patient is now face to face with the culprit—a rational decision is now made and, bingo, like turning on a light switch, that hang-up is eliminated forever.

Therein lies my disdain for our legal system which is based primarily on the old Jewish concept of ‘an eye for an eye’. No one is born a criminal—they all develop that way through their basic personality programming. Most of them could be ‘reprogrammed’ through the process of psychoanalytic psychotherapy and made into useful, stable, functioning citizens. Rather than building more jails, we should be redirecting our resources to training and paying many more psychotherapists.

Ultimately before any meaningful change can be made, we have to change the subconscious of the entire world—we must become like-minded about the ‘nature of God ‘and ‘spirituality’. More than two years ago, I started my call for the World-wide Communion of Spirituality which means that each of us recognizes and accepts the understanding that we and every gravid object in existence are made of the same identical perfect particles of energy. My philosophy says those particles must be ‘branded’ with the Spirit of God which maintains and ensures their perfection — we have a commonality with each and all entities including each other. Will my call ever be heeded—not as long as the world is fragmented with irrational religion.

I am absolutely convinced Jesus understood that underlying concept—he was a super-genius—he condemned no one—he said love (acceptance) was the only answer. He was a heretic because he preached a concept of love with which he intended to supplant the Jewish sacrificial religion of guilt and appeasement— Jesus despised religion —he accepted each of us unequivocally. How then should we react—by begging him to accept us more? I think our only legitimate action/reaction is a great big thank you Jesus.

He tried desperately to liberate us from that guilt driven, controlling, extorting religion so we could freely accept our all-loving God, and accept each other as ourselves. Quite obviously, he failed miserably because those who formulated the first Holy Roman Catholic Church at the behest of Emperor Constantine in the year 325 reverted directly back to the sacrificial, demeaning religion of the Jews.

SACRIFICE- now here’s a word that imparts a feeling of dread and drudgery, and well it should. How many times in our daily lives we are called to sacrifice our time, energy, talents and money for others. Most often it is for our family members, but frequently it may be for neighbors, friends or even total strangers. The question is ‘why do we do that?’. One might answer in various ways—sense of duty, sympathy, empathy (do unto others….). Regardless of the exact reason or attitude, sacrifice is always done because of one basic value and that is love.

Love is the eternal joy of acceptance we experience in knowing we have helped someone in need, whatever that need may be. We all, in one way or another, tend to be sacrificial in our attitude toward others—some of us more readily willing than others. I seems from a psychological standpoint that the easier life has been for us the less urgency we feel to sacrifice for others. Some might consider that to be selfish and, indeed, many times it might be. However, I suspect that more often it is due to lack of awareness—if you haven’t experienced it, you may not appreciate it. So I suppose we could say that difficulties in life can be chastening.

So what’s my point—don’t allow yourself to get caught in the trap of judgmentalism. Just because a person may seem to you to be insensitive, it may not be the case at all. Just because you as a specific individual may think of yourself as being extremely self-sacrificing, never allow yourself to be critical of other’s seeming disregard. Remember, all of your sacrificial activity carries with it a trail of selfishness—you get sense of self-satisfaction. Be careful not to let yourself be perceived as a do-gooder or, worse yet, holier than thou.

In the universe of religion, I have observed two basic forms of sacrifice. The Catholics and their ‘near mimickers’, through their priests, offer sacrifice directly to God just as the Jewish High Priest did. That sacrifice, of course is intended to appease God and cause him to think more kindly of us—we become more holy and hopefully more likely to attain heaven. The non-sacrificial Christians seem to think of their sacrificial good works as storing up Brownie points so they will get a higher place in heaven. Does selfishness get any worse than to take it right to heaven?

Of course, all of that thinking is reasonable because of the way we all have been indoctrinated. We all have been taught to think of heaven as a place—in reality, a new Paradise where we will all be happy running around laughing and talking—greeting aunt Susie and uncle Joe—might even run into grandpa. There’s one thing for certain though—those who just barely make it through the gate will be so far away from God as to get only an occasional glimpse of him—maybe once a month.

Now we all know its been almost two thousand years since Jesus paid the ultimate sacrifice. He was suppose to come right back and set up this utopian paradise immediately after ascending into heaven—he had to get cleaned up first. At least that’s what the know-it-all Paul told us—and he got his information directly from God—not sure exactly how. If we can believe anything in the Bible, that’s what he said. He scolded people for leading ordinary lives getting married, working, having kids etc. He told them they were wasting their time. He told them to ‘put on a holy face’ and get ready for Jesus—he was coming back, maybe tomorrow.

Its quite obvious that someone got their wires crossed terribly bad. Now here’s what I think happened. After Jesus’ death, there was mass confusion about who he was, what he represented, why he died and what was to happen next. At the very least, he was recognized as the Messiah. Since the Jews had always expected the Messiah to restore Paradise, they had to make it happen in their minds. They knew Jesus was dead—they saw it happen. So what then? What happened to the Savior? Were they wrong in their recognition?—he had to be the one.

In order to make their wishes come true, Jesus had to rise from the dead and ascend into heaven and then ‘come back’ to restore the Kingdom. The “talk on the street’ was so florid and self-convincing that it instantly became ‘fact’. Paul couldn’t understand why those Jews were willing to sacrifice themselves to his torment. So, he inquired why they were willing to accept such aggravation. Their explanation was so convincing that Paul had a hysterical fit—it scared the wits out of him. Hence his explanation of how he came by his information—he didn’t know whether he was ‘in the body or out of the body’. I believe he was simply terrified to think that he had been tormenting God himself—-couldn’t get no scarier than that—tormenting God?

My take is simply that ‘its all wrong’. My God is Perfect Rationality. He/she/it exists in eternity. Eternity is a state if being where there can be no change (time). God, being perfect, cannot possibly be pleased or hurt—allowing such would expose an imperfection. Jesus was the ‘only’ sacrifice of consequence. Jesus was genius—he saw the universal evil of selfishness—he recognized that the Spirit of God was in everything including him—he saw that in order for God to show his ‘perfect love’ to the world, he, Jesus must die in atonement for all the evil in the universe. He did so graciously but not without great fear and anguish—I can’t imagine such. God is heaven. We and everything in existence are in God and of God.

Just think on this please—if we could experience ‘pleasure’ at seeing aunt Susie, we couldn’t possibly be in heaven because pleasure means change and change means time—there is no time in eternity. Heaven is a state of ‘Perfect Happiness’ with no ‘human element’ of emotional change possible.

So back to ‘sacrifice” We sacrifice out of love—love of self, love of neighbor , and love of God—the absolute only command Jesus gave us. And Jesus Gave us God’s Prefect Love which means it is impossible for God to ‘dislike’ any one of us or anything.

UNDERSTANDING-HILARY L HUNT MD

UNDERSTANDING- Oh, what a beautiful word. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if everyone in the world could have the same understanding–there would be no disagreements, no hostilities—only loving acceptance of each other–there would be peace. We can, but will we?

Anyone who follows my writings and comprehends them knows that common understanding is my goal. Some of you may feel threatened by my philosophy. Others may be angered, and still others may be bewildered. There are many, however, who seem to understand and are grateful for my contribution to their understanding.

Many of you are aware that I have presented my foolproof pathway to understanding in my books, Wilderness Cry, Peace in Spirituality, and Provocative Catholic. Those books, which are echoed in my frequent blog posts, lay out an irrefutable understanding of God, his universe, and our relationship with both.

By defining the essence of God as a perfect rational being, I am able to show that the ‘miniscule’ image of God as portrayed in the Old Testament and perpetuated by all three Abrahamic religions has been, and still is, the single-most major deterrent to peace the world has ever known. Each group, in turn, has envisioned a certain ill-defined image of that being and, simultaneously, proclaimed it, with absolute certainty, to be the only correct one. That, of course, has established immediate hostilities — one group stepping on other groups’ turf.

In similar fashion, each group has developed a system of appeasement of that vengeful God—those systems are known as religion. As of 2014 there were 33,000 such so-called Christian religions in the world — as of 2024 there are 45,000 such groups. I say so-called because each claims Jesus as its head, but each, simultaneously, professes a different Jesus. Their claims, of course, are based on the Bible, a book which has been frequently altered to suit each group’s imagination.

Now, having that awareness has compelled me to seek a solution to the problem. Since we recognize religion, without question, to be the cause of hostilities, what is the solution? Plainly and simply, we must come to a ‘common understanding’. And how may we do that? The very first step is to have a distinctive, irrefutable definition of the essence of our God, so that everyone starts on the ‘same page’.

I have given that essential definition (God is a Perfect Rational Being), and from it flows the automatic answers to all our dilemmas, mysteries, and quandaries. Because that definition refutes literally every tenet of every religion, I may be perceived as hostile to religion. I am not hostile—I am realistic and I am asking you to be realistic also.

I’m no dummy—as Willy Nelson would say, ‘I wasn’t born no yesterday’. I am fully aware that almost all of us were inculcated with the tenets of a specific religion, and likely, that inculcation was explicit and exclusive of all others—I know mine was. So, if you, as an individual, are willing to drop your shoulders, calm your bristles, and join your neighbors in a loving common understanding, then we can eventually have peace. It won’t come from the ‘top down’—no movement seldom ever does. It must start with you and you and you and you………. — from the ‘bottom up’.

When enough ‘yous’ join together, the ‘top brass’ will take note—oh, they will try desperately hard to hold on—eventually they will relinquish and accommodate— what a glorious day!!!

Understand, I am not in any way demeaning you or your religion. I am simply pointing out the misguided way of all religion and am pleading for your gracious acceptance and understanding of a better way. That better way consists simply in our universal gathering to offer God our only justifiable prayer — thanksgiving for our existence, our sustenance, and our salvation through his perfect love. God expects nothing of us — his love is all inclusive. However, I believe it would do us good to gather with humility, gratefulness, and thanksgiving in communities of common understanding of our all-loving God.

I encourage you to “put my philosophy to the test’—study it hard and offer me a scientific and philosophically solid rebuttal. If you can, I’ll graciously listen—if you can’t, join me in a communion of understanding. Very simply put, that means ‘we and everything in existence are of one common substance (energy)’ imbedded in that Perfect Rational Being we call God. All is of One Spirit. That is why I make persistent calls for the recognition and acceptance of the World-wide Communion of Spirituality. Pray that we may have that ‘Common Understanding’. The Spirit of God, the Holy Spirit, resides in all entities including us — otherwise, we and they could not be.

CHANGE-Hilary L Hunt MD

CHANGE- now here’s an interesting word for you that you might not have thought of in a philosophical or scientific way. In common usage, it means to make or become different. Change, of course, involves an element of time, even if it is only a nanosecond. In fact, time is a ‘measure of change’. In the natural physical world, we observe millions, even billions of changes, and we calibrate those events in units of time. However, in the supernatural world, we recognize that change is impossible—that is because the supernatural world exist in ‘eternity’, a state of being where no change is possible. If change were possible, it could not be eternity because it would have a beginning progressing to an end—a complete violation of our concept of eternity.

You may ask, what’s this all about, and I shall explain. This simple little concept completely negates all of our concepts about God and the universe as portrayed in the Bible and by the three Abrahamic religions in general. However, our knowledge of ‘particle physics’ (Quantum Mechanics) sheds a completely different light on concepts of a Supreme Being (call it what you may– God, Allah, Yahweh, etc ). Please allow me to explain.

Every physical object in the universe including all that is unseen (gases) is composed of identical particles of energy which are collectively known as quanta (plural for quantum). A quantum is the smallest particle of energy in existence with the following characteristics—it cannot be farther subdivided, it is perfect in both form and function, it cannot be marked in any way to distinguish it from its counterparts, it can be neither created, destroyed nor changed in any way by man, and not one ,more or less, is in existence now than was not in existence 13.8 billion years ago at the time of their release by the Big Bang. There are different varieties with specific names such as photon, electron, quark, boson, etc. . Obviously, since they are unchanging and perfect, we must acknowledge that they exist in eternity. Collectively, they represent a perfect rationality. That perfect rationality represents a perfect truth system outside of which there is no truth in this universe. Consequently, any rational person is forced to accept that , if there is a God, they are God.

One of their main functions is to make up the protons, neutrons, and electrons which constitute every atom of matter in existence. Isn’t it startling, then, to realize that everything physical in this universe which is constantly changing is made up of energy which exists in eternity and is unchanging? Simply stated then, God is in everything and everything is in God.

I think so, and the implications to that understanding are stupendous. We are obliged to recognize that our God is Perfect Energy manifested through Prefect Rationality. We are forced to accept the concept that God is, in fact , in everything, verifying Jesus’ proclamation—‘split a piece of wood and I am there; lift a rock and you will find me there’. We are forced to accept the validity of my definition of God’s essence as being perfect rationality. We are forced to recognize that truth in Paul’s assertion that ‘we are temples of the Holy Spirit’. We are not only free but rather mandated to recognize that physical miracles are impossible—God, the substrate of nature, is perfect and unchangeable. We are forced to recognize that the minuscule caricature of God as described in the Bible is demeaning. We are forced to recognize that God’s Perfect Love precludes any possible concept of either Hell or a ‘Heaven where some get higher places’—God cannot possibly love any part of his creation more than another.

A Perfect Loving God cannot possibly be vindictive,. Neither can he be changing his mind about anything —you see, that word change takes God right out of ‘eternity’ and into our world of mythology—another impossibility. So with that understanding, we are not justified in begging God to do something he cannot possibly do.

It is a great source of consternation to me to hear people constantly proclaiming that God performed a miracle for the most minuscule of their wishes. Did it ever occur to anyone that thousands of people die and are maimed worldwide daily, and all the while they are ‘begging’ God for a miracle. Is it possible that their loving creator could have total disregard for their pleas, many of which come from the most devout people on earth, while at the same time paying total heedance to someone’s relatively minuscule request? I don’t think so, but I recognize the source—total misguidance and possibly deliberate deception by religious instructors. (Please never forget that snakes can talk, at least once upon a time they did).

Lets get it straight—God is in all things. Whatever happens is ultimately Gods Will working through the natural process of his eternal creation—nature taking its course. Certainly, doctors, nurses, appropriate medications and therapies may and often do assist in the healing process, but ultimately, it all is God’s eternal perfect nature at work. You may think of it as a ‘miracle’ and I suppose to many it may seem that way, but I would suggest to you that rather than ‘begging’ God to do something which he can’t do, your only justifiable address to your God is a great big thank you God for my life, for my sustenance, and my salvation by your perfect love through Jesus. I believe that anything else is biased selfishness beyond the cause.

So, a seemingly simple little word like change may have major, major implications—think on that please.

SIN-Just what is sin and where did the idea of sin come from? Well, in the first instance, the Book Of Genesis tells us that Eve disobeyed God’s command and ate of the ‘forbidden fruit’ and enticed her husband, Adam to eat also. Consequently, every human and animal alike have been branded with the curse of that Original Sin. In the second instance, during the Israelites exodus from Egypt, they became unruly and pagan-like. Their leader, Moses, decided on a plan of action to get them under control—he concocted the Ten Commandments. When presented with them, the Israelites scorned Moses and went their ‘merry way’. Moses then presented them with a new set and proclaimed them to be God’s rules—any breech was known as sin against God which incurred his wrath from that day forward.

Now lets address the Garden of Eden story. It would seem from the story that before Adam’s and Eves’ sin all animals were peaceful and loved each other—they lived in perfect harmony. They all could surely talk because snakes could. What I want to know is who put the snake up to tempting Eve? If the snake dreamed up the idea herself, then she would have been the first sinner—I say ‘she’ because females have always been branded as being the source of all evil. Also, presumably, since all animals could talk, why didn’t many others attempt to talk the snake out of deceiving Eve? Secondly, likewise, at the moment Eve bit-in, all the animals would have turned ferocious. How could Adam and Eve have possibly escaped the ravages of all the Lions, tigers, grizzly bears, T Rexes, crocodiles, etc.—they were busy making loin-cloths from fig leaves—no way they could have survived. That entire story sounds very, very ‘fishy’ to me—it in no way reflects the God and the universe I know. I believe, without any doubt, that it represents the imagination of some person(s) attempt to explain a human condition from a platform of total ignorance. Never-the-less, that story persists today. Everyone is free to take it or leave it—I prefer the latter.

Now lets talk about Moses and the Ten Commandments. He is to be commended for constructing such a good set of rules for civility in society. The only two of those rules which seemed to matter as time went on were the 6th and 9th. Of course, they were of paramount importance because a woman (wife) was a man’s property—any unfaithfulness on her part was punishable by stoning to death—pretty serious stuff.

All of this ideology about sin was developed under the pretext of ‘displeasing’ God—that’s what sin was/is. If God were displeased which he was perpetually, then some form of recompense had to be developed to appease God. So, the idea of sacrifice was developed, deployed and maintained even to this moment—God must be appeased at all cost. And ‘cost’ it did. The High Priest got filthy rich and the peasants got poorer.

Then Jesus came along and guess what—he saw two major problems with the entire set-up. Number one, he saw the minuscule, restrictive idea that the Jews had about the nature of their God. He understood the self-serving nature of their philosophy. Number two, he recognized the fallacy of their understanding of their relationship with their God. In other words they had no realistic idea who God was: neither did they have any realistic idea about love—one of the most basic attributes of Gods nature—his perfect love.

With that understanding, he set about attempting to instruct them. His intent was not to appease God who is Perfect but to liberate his brethren from the irrational, oppressive, sacrificial, thieving religion of the Jews under which they served. He tried desperately to get them to see that God is in everything and that everything is in God. Likely we shall never know whether or not he was successful. The surviving written word we have has been so distorted. Just look at all the dozens of times it has been rewritten, reinterpreted, and re-invented. So where do we go. I know where I went—I pursued a determined path to the truth.

As I investigated and studied, it became readily apparent that the essence of no deity had ever defined explicitly. It also became readily apparent that without that essential definition , any talk about a deity was just random jargon and totally meaningless. Accordingly, my determination allowed me the freedom of thought and understanding to make that definition—God Is A Perfect Rational Being. That perfection means it cannot possibly be pleased or displeased. God knows all and is all — God is Perfect Love.

Jesus, seeing the universal evil of selfishness which God instilled into every entity in existence, the only sin, and knowing that he and everything in existence were mirror images of God, knew that he must die so that God could be recognized as who he is, Perfect Love. He was the only human to ever see that—what a terrifying thought—he was the messiah—he was the sacrificial lamb who willingly paid the price so we all could have that clear understanding —what glorious beauty. As it evolved over time, it is obvious that Jesus was a total failure. His name has been used in total contrast to his desires and efforts, only to suit the whims of those who would continue dare control us with threats of God’s wrath for their own personal gain — the High Priest and King still live among us.. Our only just and worthy response is a great big thank you ,Jesus and thank you Perfect God for giving us the most heroic person to ever live who willingly and graciously died in our behalf.
