Calling-Wilderness Cry-Hilary L Hunt MD

cropped-img_0360-1-e1509913859388.pngCALLING; what an interesting word with so many uses and implications. I can still hear my mothers voice calling, from the back door of our little three room house, me and my brothers to come for dinner (lunch). We would in the fields  toiling in the hot sun on our little farm. I can hear my dadd’y voice calling me to awaken, at 4:00 AM; I had ask him to do so that I might get into the woods squirrel hunting before daylight. I can reminiscence about all sorts of voices calling me at various times and circumstances. Those are conscious memories and each of you have had similar experiences. Many are nostalgic, many are sad, and each represents our own individual interpretation. In similar fashion, we hear people speak of a calling from God to do so and so. Those callings are based on the programming each personality has experienced with the underlying need or expectation of such a calling. For instance, we may hear someone say he/she got a calling to preach. In such a case, it is likely that persons personality has been per-programmed to subconsciously expect such a calling. If we are Christian, we must accept the fact that Jesus calls us to honor His two commandments; Love God with our all, and love (accept) our neighbor as ourselves. If we as a society ever come to universally honor that calling, there will be peace. Until then there will be nothing but strife. For a complete understanding of that and many, many more concepts, I would encourage you to read my powerful little book, Wilderness cry- a Scientific and Philosophical Approach to Understanding God and the Universe; Amazon, Kindle and all on-line book retailers

RELATE- Wilderness Cry-Hilary L Hunt MD

IMG_1605The word relate means a general identity with someone, something, or some idea. I would like to talk today about how we relate to our Creator and to each other. Preachers of all sorts beat every word of the bible, both Old and New Testament, as though each word was the end all, be all, of everything. They hammer on each idea as though it were free standing and self sufficient for either our salvation or condemnation. Many of them concentrate on God’s mercy, which implies guilt on our part. What we are “guilty” of is being human; and who made us human? God. So how is it we are guilty of being what we were made to be? It all stems from the Old Testament concept of Justice: an eye for an eye and a tooth for  tooth. That concept was perpetuated by Christians in the form of “original sin” which makes us guilty from the moment of conception. Of course guilt demands punishment in like degree. However, if we beg (pray) hard enough (how much is enough ?), God may show us mercy, I believe all that is a contrivance aimed at controlling us and extracting money and services from us to further their cause. Now lets get back to RELATE. Jesus gave us only two dicta to abide by; Love your God with your all, and love your neighbor as yourself. What that means is we must relate (accept) God in whatever conceptualization we can, and we must relate, (accept) our neighbor as we would like to be accepted. Jesus recognized humanities universal evil (selfishness) instilled in everything by God so His universe could function. He recognized God’s need of Perfect Love. He brought that Perfect Love to fruition by His own death. Jesus related to everything in existence and He related to His own generator, Eternal God. So God does not and has not shown mercy, He has shown us Perfect Love by accepting (relating) to us through the sacrificial death of Jesus. For a complete elucidation of that and everything related to your existence, I would encourage you to read my powerful little book, Wilderness Cry- a Scientific and Philosophical Approach to Understanding God and the Universe: Amazon, Kindle and all on-line book retailers.

Inheritance

via Daily Prompt: Inheritance-It is likely that most would immediately think of moneyIMG_0360 (1) and property when that word is mentioned. While that is true, there are other inheritances we seldom consider. Firstly, we inherit our life from our Creator in what ever way you may wish to consider that concept. Secondly, we inherit our genetic make-up from our parents; our physique and our general temperament. From there, everything is developmental. Each and every experience in our lives adds flavor and texture to our personality formation; our guilt, anxieties, prejudices, attitudes, understandings, etc. All of those elements help make each of us uniquely distinct individuals (one of a kind). I think Jesus recognized that when He exhorted us to Love (accept) each other as we Love ourselves. That is a uniting consideration. Religion and ideology, on the other hand, divides us (I’m right and you are wrong). According to the World Encyclopedia of Religion, as of 2014, there were 33,000 Christian denominations on earth, and each claiming to be the right one; what a divider!!! In my powerful little book Wilderness Cry, I plead for unity among Christians. It is a must-read for anyone seeking comfort and relief in their lives. It will give you understandings and insights never before published Amazon describes it a A REAL EYE OPENER. I would encourage you to check it out. All comments and questions welcome. I would haste to add that there is one more most important inheritance, THE KINGDOM OF GOD; we didn’t earn it . it is a pure GIFT FROM GOD.
