LOVE- We hear and use this word in various ways, but I suspect few know its’ real basic meaning. I believe its’ most basic meaning is acceptance. Other meanings could include desire, wish, will, choice, enjoy etc. Jesus suggested that we love one another as we love ourselves. We know that to be humanly impossible in most instances, but that knowledge does not preclude our being ever aware of the idea and constantly trying. Feeding the hungry is one of a million ways we can do and show that attitude. However any and all efforts come with a price of selfishness; we get a sense of self satisfaction. Everything in this universe is intrinsically evil by that basic necessity of selfishness.
